"Replaced old grout in bathroom floor. Clean lines without any holes in the grout! Everyone was friendly, responded quickly to my bid request and left the site spotless. Would use them again. Thanks! First picture shows missing grout. Second picture shows floor after repair."

Customers say: Terrific value

"Alex was friendly and provided the lowest bid, but the project had significant compliance and quality issues. A 5-day estimate stretched to 8; while I prioritized quality over speed, the final stages felt rushed and lacked transparency. Most concerningly, the top step was installed at an 8.5? rise, violating Oregon code. Alex admitted he knew it was out of code but did not disclose this until we pointed it out. The resolution process was defensive and difficult. While early work was careful, quality declined on the final day. Alex recommended leaving one step sloped, then later criticized the look of his own recommendation. I had to personally shim and level a tread myself after he left. Additionally, the railing was cut short and visibly patched, and our hallway baseboards were discarded without consultation. To his credit, Alex offered to return for finishing work the next day. However, the lack of transparency regarding code and the inconsistent finish were disappointing."

"I called all around Portland to find someone who would be willing to
repair them, and preferably at our location.    Premier was the only one
that could do this.   One other provider could pick them up for a fee
and then mail them to Hunter Douglas, and their price was twice as high
as Premier quoted, including shipping.
Everything was very professional, including working with the person who scheduled the technician, follow up,
the proficiency and promptness of the technician, and payment.
I would not hesitate to use them again for repair or for purchasing new treatments based on this positive experience.
I recommend them.

"Eugene did an AWESOME job. I would highly recommend him and his team. They started in time and finished days earlier than expected and I couldn’t be happier. We put brown stain on the floor to offset the orangey color of the red oak and it looks beautiful. I wish everyone did such great work and had such nice customer service. It was a pleasure doing business with him."

"

Great!  Matt was very polite and did an excellent job.  We had hired another cabinet installer through Lowes to install our cupboards and the crown molding.  The Lowes carpenter was unable to finish this section and said it couldn't be done.  I checked around and found Matt who, after he looked at some pictures of the problem areas, said he could do it.  He came out, reviewed the work and then sat about measuring and cutting so that the crown molding would fit.  This was a very special situation he had to fit 3 pieces into the of the two connection walls in order to make this work.  There were some simple angle cuts and a lot of cutting with a coping saw (manual cutting for angles a saw can't do!). In the end the work looed great and was just what the wife ordered! She is now happy with her new kitchen and we are both VERY Happy with the work that Matt did here.

If you ever need someone to do any of the work that Matt does, I would highly recommend him.  If he says he can do, it can be done and done right!  And, for the specialized skills Matt has, he could have charged us a lot more than he did given what needed to be done to get our job completed!

"I called asking for service at 1:00PM and John fixed the problem by 6:00PM. Five hours from first contact to job complete is pretty impressive. John did a quality job. He quoted the cost and explained clearly what would be done. He also didn't upsell which was great. I would highly recommend this company for any garage door need."

"I called Mr. Tapia and spoke with Marco over the phone. After setting an appointment he came over and was right on time. Marco was very professional and walked us through the issue we were having- an old bathtub that was starting to creak and make noise which had us worried there was a dry rot or possible water damage issue . Marco went under the crawl space, looked at the issue, and walked us through what was going on. Turns out the issue was not related to water or dry rot, just the support structure underneath wasn't perfect (the tub was right between support beams). Anyways, Marco sketched out for us us what was going on and possible future decisions. In summary, his judgement was there was no issue and to leave it be. We did discuss if in the future we decided to remodel the bathroom or replace the bath tub, he would be happy to work with us. I thanked him for his time and then tried to pay him for coming out and doing what he did. Marco politely declined any money despite several attempts! What a guy and I would definitely call him again!"

Window Shutter Repair questions, answered by experts

Estate shutters offer more energy efficiency, privacy, and light control than blinds. They provide better insulation against heat and cold, lowering your energy bills. They’re also sturdy, durable, and last much longer than blinds (up to 50 years or longer). They’re also low-maintenance and can add curb appeal to your home. The return on investment (ROI) for estate shutters is around 75%.

Plantation shutters cost an average of $2,990, making them one of the pricier shutter options. However, they offer a 75% return on your investment and are great options for boosting curb appeal and property value. Most people go for plantation shutters for their timeless, vintage look. They also provide the strongest light blocking and temperature control for your home.

The average shutter is designed to last 20 to 25 years. Proper maintenance for the type of shutters you have is essential for helping them reach their full potential.

Shutters are still very common in Southern, farmhouse, and traditional-style homes, especially those in warm climates who can benefit from the increased efficiency. While modern homes and designs tend to shy away from shutters, shutters are a timeless design style that will likely be around for decades to come.

Wood is the most classic shutter material. Common options include pine, cedar, or brasswood. MDF shutters are also a more affordable option that retains the timeless, classic look. Composite shutters, mainly vinyl and aluminum shutters, have also become more popular over the years. You may also find steel shutters, sometimes referred to as security shutters, used on the exterior. Shutters also come in various colors and finishes, adding another layer of design flexibility.
