"My husband and I are thrilled with the bathtub refinishing job Miracle Method performed on a fiberglass bathtub in one of our rental properties. We were sure it was beyond repair and we were quoted over $6,000 by a contractor to have it replaced. We decided to see if Miracle Method could refinish it for us and they did a superb job at a fraction of the cost to replace it."

"We replaced our bathtub with a walk in shower, and are extremely happy with the work that was provided. In only took one person 6 hours to complete the job, and he was very professional and the quality of work was great. Would hire them again."

Customers say: True professional

"Mose did a fantastic job. In 2017 I hired Mose to replace the rotten wood trim with Azec around seven windows and around the rear door of my house. Mose's work has stood the test of time. In 2019 his work remains looking excellent. Mose is very detailed-oriented. He even painted the Azec before installing it so it would match the paint on my house. I would highly recommend hiring Mose for your carpentry needs."

"The tub is wonderful! Installation of the tub was ok except for the widening of the bathroom door. The door trim was wrong and the door itself was not straight. The threshold was not installed at all. Paid an additional $700 to get the door rehung."

"I was very nervous about the large kitchen remodel we were planning. I contacted several contractors for estimates and received visits from 4 contractors.  SemBro was the very first contractor I contacted and came out the very day that I called. Alex was prompt in delivering a kitchen design via email and was extremely polite and considerate.  I had contacted 5 other contractors in which 3 actually contacted me back and gave estimates.  1 of them offered email designs but the other 2 we had to go into the office to view their designs and get the price quotes. Note to contractors: email designs and quotes are convenient for the customer;  but my review I am writing today is in regards to SemBro.
Alex was my contact for the kitchen project. He was very courteous and was willing to work with the ideas that we had in our design. After the initial design was provided, Alex provided a quote via email that was far more reasonable than any of the other contractors. So after little deliberation we choose SemBro.
I was happy that SemBro offered the ability for us to do some of the work ourselves to save on costs. We opted to do the painting and backsplash after the project was completed. They also did not pressure to control the design as one of the other contractors opted to do. They let me choose what style of cabinets, hardware, flooring and granite that I wanted. Basically I felt I had control of the design aspect, but could also ask for advice when it came to choosing the materials.
When the project started I was amazed at how fast a kitchen could be gutted! We had the soffits removed, a wall removed and all cabinetry replaced. Our workers were very polite and clean! They swept up every day and cleaned all debris. They even turned over the door mat outside so not to track in dirt, I was very impressed :).
Although the electrician costs are not included in the remodel project, Sembro referred us to a wonderful electrician that installed our lighting and receptacles.  He was so very nice and again worked with us to achieve our design goals.
The whole remodel project took about 2 weeks and my kitchen is simply gorgeous!  I give SemBro an A+++ and would recommend them to anyone. SemBro is a family oriented business and it was very nice to see all involved.  We are opting to do our bathroom next and I will definitely call SemBro back to hire.

"AIS replaced my roof in April 2018 when the storms came through Grove City. They returned my call immediately and within days they had met with my insurance company to get the necessary approval for the repairs. The roof turned out great and the cleanup afterwards was wonderful. I would use AIS again and have recommended them to my neighbors and friends."

"Tim completely gutted and remodeled our master bath as well as our kids' bathroom. Both turned out wonderful and we are very happy with his work. He put in ceramic tile floors, tiled both showers, installed tubs, toilets, vanities , painted, did all trim and hung all bathroom accessories.

I also hired Tim to do handyman work, he installed new kitchen faucet, new light fixtures, patched drywall in our basement and painted. He also painted our front door and put new hardware on. Everything looks great.

Tim does what he says he is going to do and is very reliable and trustworthy. He is great with communication and pays a lot of attention to detail and does exactly what the customer asks him to do. He offers good suggestions when you're not sure exactly what you want to do.  He gave us a fair and  honest price and followed through with everything perfectly. He works really hard and rarely even takes a break ! I would definitely recommend Steger Renovations.

Bathtub Replacement questions, answered by experts

The order of your bathroom renovation should prevent damage to the completed work. Start with demolition and removing the old fixtures. Then, address structural repairs or water damage, if needed. Next, tackle the rough-in phase for plumbing and electrical work, install waterproofing, and work on wall treatments like tile or paint. Install your shower or bathtub, toilet, vanity, and sink. Flooring goes in after major fixtures but before the toilet. Lastly, install new lighting fixtures, mirrors, and other finishing touches as desired.

Alcove tubs come in fiberglass, acrylic, or enameled steel. Fiberglass is the most affordable but least durable, while acrylic is the highest-end and most durable (as long as you don’t go with a poor grade of acrylic, which will be prone to scratches). Enameled steel, where a steel tub is coated in a layer of porcelain, is a wallet-friendly middle ground. This material is highly durable but prone to chips.

The impact of a walk-in tub on home value depends on various factors, including market demand, demographic preferences, and overall home features. While some buyers may view it as a desirable accessibility feature, others might see it as a niche amenity, potentially limiting the pool of interested buyers. However, it could add value if the walk-in tub meets specific needs or enhances the property's appeal to a target demographic. Ultimately, its effect on home value varies case by case, with factors like installation quality, design, and neighborhood trends playing roles in determining its impact.

You should consider replacing your bathtub if the tub—or any potential refinishing—is older than about 20 years old. However, acrylic and fiberglass bathtubs have a shorter lifespan (about 10 to 15 years). You may decide to replace your bathtub sooner if there are stains or mold you can’t get rid of, no matter how much you clean it, or if you find leaks and cracks that could lead to costly water damage.

Of the two most common and affordable bathtub materials, acrylic is notably better. Though fiberglass is cheaper, it is also more prone to scratching, chipping, fading, and cracking. Acrylic holds up better to wear and tear, cleaning, and sun exposure; the slight cost increase is usually worth the increased longevity.
