"Miracle Method saved me thousands of dollars that I would have spent to rip out a leaking bathtub with the tile surround being an added casualty. "The tub is wonderful! Installation of the tub was ok except for the widening of the bathroom door. The door trim was wrong and the door itself was not straight. The threshold was not installed at all. Paid an additional $700 to get the door rehung."

The order of your bathroom renovation should prevent damage to the completed work. Start with demolition and removing the old fixtures. Then, address structural repairs or water damage, if needed. You can put a structure under your bathtub for support. Many modern tubs come with a built-in support structure underneath. Almost any type of mortar or floor-leveling compound is acceptable for new bathtubs that don’t include a support structure.

You can also install spray foam under an existing bathtub to eliminate or reduce squeaking or sagging. However, spray foam isn’t rigid enough for primary tub support.

The diverter valve in your bathtub is responsible for diverting water between your tub spout and your shower head. If water comes out of both at the same time, you have a faulty diverter valve. You can have a plumber replace this for you, or you can replace it yourself if you have some experience working with plumbing fixtures.
