"We could not be happier with the work Ed Comptom Construction did for us. They performed a complete remodel of our 40 year-old kitchen, front hall, back hall, and half bath. The work involved removing the old kitchen, including the drywall, tile floor, and 1970s era (plumbing containing) soffits that were everywhere. They re-routing plumbing and drains, upgraded electric, replaced a garden window, patio door, front door, storm door, and garage entry door. They installed new drywall on the ceilings, and walls, painted, installed six new interior doors, trim and base boards and new flooring throughout. Ed and his apprentice grandson, Blain, are master craftsmen who pay attention to detail and provide a quality of work that his hard to find today. Ed told us he would treat our home as his own and we found this to be true. They always showed up when they said they would, gave our project their full attention, and did a great job cleaning up after themselves on a daily basis. Our home was always left in as much a functional conition as possible at the end of each day. Given the size of our project, we had few unforseen problems, and for the few that we did Ed always had an efficient solution to solve them. Most, if not all, were encounted and solved before we even got home from work. Their fit and finsh work is excellent. "We recently remodeled a 100 year-old Craftsman home. We initially discussed the project with Mose Troyer and were very impressed with his knowledge and advice. The project required replacing and replicating a considerable amount of the woodwork. Mose also modified the existing Shaker kitchen cabinets. Modifications included building new cabinets to match the existing ones. He also adjusted several cabinets while maintaining the original look of the cabinetry. Mose also completely built an entire wall of pantry cabinets in the Shaker style. He installed new baseboards and window trim. He rebuilt and repaired existing window trim in several other rooms. Mose integrated the repairs to the point that after painting no one could discern that the sill had been repaired. His work was flawless. In addition, he walled off a doorway and built a bookcase with enclosed shelves in the lower half. He installed 10 new doors with hardware in line with the original style of the home. He also installed two barn doors with hardware. He is conscientious and easy to work with. Without his creativity and craftsmanship the project would never have been as successful and we’re thrilled with the results. Without reservation, we highly recommend Mose for cabinetry/carpentry work."
