Getting a walk in tub is expensive no matter who you use. My experience thus far is with installation only and I must say my install went great. It has been over a month and no issues with my tub so I cannot comment on repair process with American Standard.

They are hard to get hold of if their problem. They lie to face and bait and switch. Gave plastic fixtures instead of metal. Customer service is very unprofessional and refuse to fulfill promises made by salesman.

The tub is wonderful! Installation of the tub was ok except for the widening of the bathroom door. The door trim was wrong and the door itself was not straight. The threshold was not installed at all. Paid an additional $700 to get the door rehung.

Had lots of problems with management. We purchased a $16,000. Walk-in tub and needed to have it disconnected and reinstalled at our new home. Had been working with the installer for well over a month. All of a sudden he stopped communication. I called American Standard headquarters about the issue. They gave me the runaround and stated that the installer was an independent contractor and they were unable to remove it and the lifetime warranty would be canceled! They indicated that they would have to charge me between $4000. and $5000. to move it and they had no one available to do it for perhaps months.

Fantastic! Installers were professional, on time even after the snow storm. Friendly. I wanted to fix them lunch but...they were only there to install my tub. Worth the investment. I agree with the 5.0 ratings listed on this review.
