Customers say: Super punctual

"Outside water spigot installation and bathtub drain switch installed on Woods' first trip. Because the garbage disposal did not have an electrical cord attachment, Woods needed to return the following week with the correct garbage disposal to install. Everything was done as promised and everything is working perfectly."

"Anthony and the Apex crew did fantastic work for us installing a French drain system in our backyard, and a new drainage system for our driveway and replaced our full driveway and front porch. Anthony was communicative and professional and worked hard to earn our business. His crew had the French drain system finished up in one day, and the concrete crew wrapped up their work in three days. Everything looks great, the crews were friendly and approachable, and worked hard to get everything done right. Highly recommended!"

"They came out quickly and got the job done. I needed a new piece for the drain. They contacted Kohler for me to be sure the correct thing was ordered. The price was better than I'd paid plumbers who have come our previously."

"Had Betts Structural Engineering come and look at the foundation of a house we were in contract on. Josh came out and was professional and informative. He informed us the foundation was failing and explained what needed to be done. He throughly explained everything and told us how we could do it ourselves for much cheaper than a contractor could do it. In the end he saved us from a long and expensive process if we proceeded with the house."

Foundation Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

A sump pump should be placed at least three feet deep in a pit. The rim of the sump pump basin should be level with your basement floor. If you find your pit is too deep, you can fill the bottom with gravel until the rim of the sump pump is flush with the floor.

A sewage ejector pump is necessary if you have any plumbing fixtures, such as a bathroom, laundry room, or sink, located below the level of your home's main sewer line. Standard plumbing relies on gravity to move wastewater and solid waste to the municipal sewer or septic tank. However, for fixtures located below grade (e.g., in a basement), gravity is not sufficient.

The purpose of a sewage ejector pump is to actively pump this wastewater and solid waste upward into the main sewer line. Without an ejector pump in this situation, wastewater would have no way to exit and would eventually back up, causing a sewage overflow or flooding in your basement. If all of your home's plumbing is on the main floor or higher, gravity can handle the drainage, and an ejector pump is not needed.

A sump pump battery backup can typically run for 6 to 24 hours. The factors that affect its runtime include the battery capacity and pump usage.

When purchasing your backup system, take these factors into consideration to determine which system is best for your home. If you live in an area with frequent and long-lasting power outages, consider a longer-lasting backup battery.

There are dedicated sump pump pros in most areas who can install sump pumps. However, plumbers and waterproofing specialists should also have a good amount of experience with installing sump pumps. If you don’t have any dedicated specialists in your area, reach out to a basement waterproofing specialist or a plumber.

Gravity can make it difficult to make plumbing work in a garage if your plumbing is lower than your drainage point. Fortunately, there are ways to create drainage when adding a bathroom to a sunken garage. Plumbers will recommend using an upflush system that discharges into a pump from the back of the toilet.
