The entire experience was great!

We hired them for chimney tuck pointing and for our front porch pillar tuck pointing. The were prompt, pleasant to work with, reasonably priced and did an excellent job. We referred them to several neighbors and saved one neighbor several thousand dollars on her chimney. I would highly recommend them!

Brick work was outstanding!! Start and finish of the project was done in a very timely and professional manner!! Travis is very knowledgeable and east to work with!! Would highly recommend him for any brick or massonary project!!

We had a wonderful experience with Bucklew Basements. They came in quickly and got the job done. Their team was friendly and explained everything clearly. The work was not only done with quality and care, but they also did a stellar job with post-job cleanup. We have an old basement with limestone walls that were in need of repair. We also had a retaining wall put into our basement. Everything is now dry, sealed and clean. Do not hesitate to hire these guys!

We hired Bucklew to add an egress window to our basement in 5/2021. At the time they told us that they had applied for a permit with the city, and it had been granted. We later found out that the permit had never been issued because Travis Bucklew had his contractors license revoked due to complaints to the City of Columbus Building Department Board. Bucklew WAS NOT ALLOWED to perform the work that they did on our home, and when we confronted them and asked them to remedy the problem, they strung us along for weeks pretending they would fix the problem, but eventually just stopped returning our calls and did not fix the issues. Because their license has been revoked, THEY CANNOT perform structural work in Columbus and they cannot be granted a new contractors license. Their permits will not be granted, and you will not be able to schedule a final inspection for the work resulting in a Building Department violation for your home. DO NOT HIRE THEM!!!!

We hired Travis to straighten a 24' brick planter that had developed a severe bow and had motar issues. Travis and his crew were prompt, professional, and finished the work on time. Even with heavy rain delaying the project, the office called each day until they could start. When finished, the planter looked better than when first built. Also, the clean up was amazing. One would think work and customer service of this quality woukd be expensive. But, no, the cost was very reasonable. We highly recommend Travis / Bucklew Basement Waterproofing and Masony Repair.

We had a our brick chimney re-done as it was needed to allow the roofers to guarantee our new roof. Quality was good. The brick color didn't necessarily match the house. We may have to paint the new chimney. Mortar chunks were left in the front yard on newly grown grass. Also asked for photographs of the finished work and still have not received them 6 weeks later.

We had Bucklew waterproof our basement and install a sump pump, drain to the street, egress window, and glass block windows. They were always prompt, great at communicating with us and answering all our questions, worked efficiently, and always wanted to make sure we were satisfied with their work. They went above and beyond every step of the way. Couldn't be happier, especially that my basement is finally DRY, even after all the rain we've gotten lately.

VERY PROFESSIONAL AND EASY TO WORK WITH. ARRIVED ON SCHEDULE AND FINISHED ON SCHEDULE. REBUILT A 7 FOOT TALL LANDSCAPE BLOCK WALL, ADDED A DRAIN FIELD AND LAID A 45 FT CONCRETE WALK. THEY CLEANED UP EVERYTHING AND SEEDED THE AREA. AT THE END, THE OFFICE CALLED TO INSURE WE WERE SATISFIED.

Travis did a fabulous job on my chimney. I had water damage in my daughters room for years. Travis and crew came out and took all the old tuck points out. Cleaned the chimney to get rid of all the dust. They mixed there own mortar tucked the chimney. The last part they made a new chimney cap. When finished they sprayed a water sealer on the chimney. NO more leaks. Great company.

He did a fine job on my brick repair project. He was timely and easy to deal with.

Travis, (Owner of company) DJ,and James were absolutely so of the most professional and honest individuals I have worked with. I just bought a home and I needed to have the chimney rebuilt. Travis is an artist and charges an absolutely fair price... I would reccomend them 100 times over.

In the midst of all the chaos the past couple days with all the rain they made it out to our house within a couple hours of contact.. worked until after midnight (8hrs) trying to get our basement drained and our sump pump working properly. Still only charged us what he quoted me for although I'm sure the job was more than he thought, the most expense was the new pump and installation but still. They left some equipment with us incase it got worse over night and checked back in the morning. Picked up another job next door during working on ours and got us both settled up from our flooding. Seems like a great couple guys, definitely hard working.

Travis was great to work with. They did an excellent job - cleaned up as they went and even did a minor repair to my basement steps that wasn't part of the job. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Very reasonable price too.

They did a great job repairing our retaining wall. I would use them again for masonry repairs or building a retaining wall. They know what they are doing.

This is an update to a previous review. Travis contacted me because I was very dissatisfied with work that was done on a stone wall repair. He listened to my concerns and knew that was ready to release Bucklew Masonry from the project. However, he asked if I would give him an opportunity to correct things and redo the job to my satisfaction. After some discussion I agreed to the arrangements. Travis brought a team out the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend and took apart the wall in the areas that were not done to my satisfaction and redid the work. He also addressed a portion of the job that the previous crew did not even attempt to repair. He and his crew were very efficient and attentive to details that were previously overlooked. They took about two hours to complete the work and the finished product looks great. At this point I have to amend my previous review. Travis said that my satisfaction was his primary concern and his follow through proved he meant what he said. I am very satisfied with the job he did and, based on his thorough follow through, would definitely recommend his services to others, and would consider hiring him for other work on my home. Workers arrived promptly. The process was explained to me as work was being completed. Drop cloths were used to protect flooring and everything was cleaned afterwards.

Very prompt in getting us an estimate and also getting the job scheduled and completed.
