"The work went very well. Two technicians came and they got the job done in less than a hour. Unclogging the kitchen sink required clearing the drain. Anticipating they'd need to clear the drain, I emptied out the cabinet underneath the sink. However, the work was done through an outside drainpipe that connects to the septic system. There were several options & corresponding costs for the service -- [if I'm understanding correctly] the essence of which would be clearing the drain with progressively tool[s] and a warranty-- the most expensive option was $400+. I didn't opt for the more expensive service. The option I selected was a regular drain clearing, which includes a camera scoping of the drain pipe once the line is cleared, which I've scheduled for another day. I had a smaller problem with a bathroom sink. The stopper was not allowing the water to drain at a regular pace. At no extra cost, the tech tweaked/ adjusted the stopper height and now the sink drains fine."

He throughly explained everything and told us how we could do it ourselves for much cheaper than a contractor could do it. Mid state basement systems had the best and most fair pricing. They did not use any scare tactics and were upfront and honest. They were also the only company to use a laser level and show me the sag difference in my joists that I was experiencing. I hired mid-state basement systems to do crawl space support and repair on my load bearing wall in my basement. MY PROBLEM WAS UNIQUE AS LOAD BEARING WALLS NORMALLY DO NOT NEED TO BE REPAIRED LIKE THIS! At first, it was not level upon completion (BARELY 1/8 INCH OFF) in ONE spot and I let my sales rep Jiovanni know. the team came back out within 48 hrs and adjusted everything and let me take a look at it. They did a fantastic job. The installation crew even wiped down my floors for me after they were done! They were so polite, and respectful and made sure there was no damage to anything as they were moving steel beams to my basement ( my fridge was an object in the way to the basement door ) Do not let competitors make you question the validity of this business. they were fantastic. Rating of sales 5/5 Rating of the installation crew 5/5 Rating of management 5/5 Rating of mid-state as a company : 10/5 I do not believe I would have received this level of responsiveness of any of the competitors. I would choose mid-state basements for any basement project I had. Please use my review to know that mid-state basement systems will do the job the right way and how you need it to be done. In my experience, they offer the most fair pricing."

"Mr Plumber Josh arrived, we talked about the problem. He told me how much the job would cost. It was high at $202.94 but I told him it needed to be done. He went to his van for appropriate tools, cleaned the drain, snaked the pipe, cleaned up. I paid him and he left, job completed in about 1/2 hour. I see ads on tv (channel 10tv) all the time for drain cleaning at $95.00. The company runs this ad constantly on tv YET I was not offered nor told this was the amount I'd be charged. This struck me odd that I was charged then as much as I was. My work was done on a Thursday. The immediate Monday morning there was the same ad for $95.00. I immediately called Mr Rooter Plumbing to ask why I paid $202 when they advertise same job at $95.00. I was finally put in touch with a gentleman (Mark) at the company who told me it was up to me to MENTION their ad that runs all the time on tv. They do not offer it. Bottom line, he is refunding me the difference as he said my job was a $95.00 job. I told him I appreciated the refund and that I'd be watching for their refund check to get to me in the mail. Word to the wise here - if you choose to use this company for drain cleaning, MENTION THE $95.00 AD that they RUN ON TV. My point, if this is the price they CONSISTANTLY advertise, it is my opinion that THEY NEED TO HONOR IT without forcing the consumer to mention it."

"I reached out to Stay Dry Waterproofing for a quote on waterproofing my basement. They told me (as did other companies) that I needed to put a gutter system in my basement to alleviate pressure on the foundation and prevent future water damage. The sales team and inspector were very knowledgeable, friendly, and prompt when answering my requests. I did not go with this company because the price to do the work was almost double what the other two companies quoted me. This is also why I am giving them a "C'" rating."
