Tony did not do the actual tile work, but did come by the 1st day to make sure I met and felt comfortable with who he was delegating the project to. Joe was ever bit as pleasant to work with as Tony. It ended up being a two day job (tile and then come back to grout and caulk). Everything was cleaned up at the end of each day. Tony consulted with me on how much material to order and where exactly to put the tile (how high up, how far over, etc). The backsplash is beautiful!!!! We absolutely love it! Would HIGHLY reccomend

Porch was knocked off of it's piers and torqued, so windows, siding, and other aspects either needed to be fixed or replaced. The effort was not cheap, but the insurance company paid for most of it. Bennett always stayed in touch, were on time, let me know when difficulties arose with the insurance company and were generally really great to work with. It was completely worth not having to worry about the work being done right and expeditiously
- Bennett Contracting IncA time for the estimate was scheduled but had to be rescheduled due to illness of the estimator. He called promptly to reschedule and was professional. The estimator that we had, Brian was just great. He answered questions, showed us drawings, Gave us his renderings of the project. Verbally walked us through the project from start to finish. The job was scheduled to start in approximately 6 weeks. The Team Leader Chris called us a day ahead of starting and asked if it was ok for them to come. He was polite and professional. He told me to make sure I take pictures off the wall so nothing would fall and break during the project! Chris and company showed up on time, fully prepared to work and started each day promptly. They were better than an alarm clock! Work was completed with the contract framework even though the weather was not the best. Several days there were delays or shortened work sessions due to dowmpours or lightening. Chris would let us know what was going on throughout the project, glad to answer questions. He even put up with my neighbor who just cannot stay away from talking to a constrution crew! They found probelms with our window replacement and for a very, very, very small change order fixed them! They removed an tank from our cellar that we had spent 20 years looking for someone to do! Folks stop by our house and ask who the contractors were, make note of how nice our property looks after and during such a major project. "Not Good. It started on February 5 and is still not completed to our satisfaction. First wall installed was not explained fully and was not acceptable. Three members of team including Supervisor said the wall we choose the second time would go all the way to the ceiling. It didn't and they told us to pick out a trim that would correct their error. They finally got a trim that would work and installed it saying the job was complete. However, there is a mess of silicone glue on the ceiling that presently looks like mold and can't be painted over and they are refusing to remove it or correct the situation. They said there work is done. Their attitude was very pleasant when they were looking for their money but changed once the error were occurring. If you do choose to go with them make sure they show you exactly what your completed project will look like. If they can't do that move on for your own good.

"Initially, we met with project manager, Tony Cicchino and project designer Sarah McDonald . We had more meetings and planning with Sarah . We found her pleasant to work with and she had ideas without being pushy. When it was time to select appliances and flooring, she met us at those business locations and together we met with the sales staff. Besides emails, we met with Sarah about 4 times at our home and her office. We enjoyed working with her and benefitting from her experience, Our only other contact with Tony was an issue with a cabinet with a lazy susan that that was resolved with a lowering of cost to remedy the the issue. Once the work began, the primary installer was Adam Squires.Adam was on site for about 6 weeks. He was at our house most days, at least 8 hours, sometimes more. Adam was a hard worker with quality skills and an eye for detail. He worked alone a majority of the days, unless an assist from a man named David, who helped with the painting and wall paper removal. We are retired, so my wife and I were home most days and we found him easy to be around while he worked. Adam kept the work area clean, which we appreciated. When we had questions or concerns, Adam was happy to discuss and sometimes offered alternative suggestions. This is the second time we have used Bennett Contracting. Overall, we were pleased with the renovation and recommend them highly.

"John and his team arrived on time every single day for the three consecutive days it took to paint the entire interior of my house. Not only was John tasked with painting, but he was also asked to replace a lot of broken molding and baseboards. The work performed was truly exceptional and exceeded my expectations. My aunt was away from her home in Granville NY because she was helping care for my parents who both had medical issues in Virginia. Well the furnace went out, and the pipes burst and this resulted in water damage. I was helping her out with the insurance claim because she was busy with my folks. "We chose Matchless a few months ago after receiving three quotes to do an installation of a gas fireplace insert into our 1870 home. All three proposed the exact same insert model. We chose Matchless because they performed a detailed analysis to produce the quote and offered six month 0% financing. Matchless was not the least expensive quote we received ... we chose them because they offered professionalism AND a reasonable quote. We had numerous preparatory discussions with their engineer at the office (John) ... he was always available and returned calls promptly. John was a good indication of what was to come at installation time. The installers arrived at the promised date/time. In short, this installation (the marble fireplace) presented numerous difficulties (removing the existing glued-on and bolted cast iron insert INTACT, integrating both gas and electric in the basement and ensuring that the new insert fit well). The difficulties presented by this old home were no match for Shane. He faced each difficulty with absolute professionalism. The installation consumed the entire day. We closely watched the entire process as we were concerned about preserving the existing insert as well as preserving the marble fireplace - all went well. We could not be more satisfied with how Matchless performed for us. We called and thanked Bill, their General Manager and offered our gratitude to an excellent company.
