He came on time, had all of the parts necessary and installed the line. < we have an unfinished basement> . No drama, no surprises . Just what you need. Russells is the best in Clifton Park . Jay has also done our water heater, gas fireplace and air conditioning. Couldnt recommend more.

It went very well!

We've used Jay Russell before and had no reservations in calling him to do this work. Our water heater had been leaking, but we got many years of use out of it and so expected that it would probably need replacement. (Whether it really did need to be replaced or not, we'll never know.) Jay said the leaking tank couldn't be repaired and that it was time for a new one. We discussed options, and went with the one he recommended: same capacity as our old one (40 gal.) and same brand/type: Bradford White power vent, natural gas.
Jay quoted us one price that included everything: diagnostic visit, return visit and installation, water heater and all materials, and haul-away of the old one. The price was $1350, including drain pan add-on. And that was exactly what he billed at the end of the job: no more, no less, no surprises.
After installation, Jay explained the couple of things homeowners should know about ongoing maintenance (nothing more than draining and temperature control, really), explained the warranty, and that was it. The water heater has worked perfectly for almost a year now, as the previous one had that he had installed more than a decade ago.
Soon after, we had a flood in the basement (2 to 3 inches, quickly mitigated), and I called Jay to ask how to protect our brand new water heater. He returned my call immediately and told me to make sure all the water was out of the drain pan so it wouldn't collect around the bottom of the tank.
The experience with Russell Heating was totally satisfactory: courteous, responsive, friendly, knowledgeable, responsible, community-minded guy running a good business.

Russell quickly responded to my request for service and cleared the obstruction. He advised regarding how to prevent a reoccurence of the problem in the future. His response was timely and he was very professional.

Their quote was higher than others. They were fine. The person who came out was a very nice guy. He previously worked in a restaurant and I questioned how knowledgeable he was. He has been doing this only for 5-6 months. He quoted $8000 for the job.

Jay is always wonderful. My heat wasn't working and I called Russell Heating. Jay came over right away. I've used him several times and have always been happy with the services.

All repairs were performed satisfactorily. They did not make me feel like I had to do everything. Price seemed fair. Very satisfied. Still performing well after 9 years.

THEY WERE VERY RESPONSIVE AND EASY TO WORK WITH. WE'VE HAD THEM HERE SEVERAL TIMES. I CAN LEAVE THE HOUSE AND GO TO WORK AND LEAVE THEM HERE AND KNOW THAT EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE FINE.
