Jordan (tech) and Charlotte (sales rep) were fantastic to work with in getting our hidden pet fence set up. The training program that Jordan walked us through is already taking effect. The team at Hidden Pet Fence is clearly invested in keeping your dog safe and contained.

I highly recommend them. Not only is the fence beautiful, now one year later, but I was impressed with the team’s professionalism, hard work, staying on my job until completion. Important as well was the respect, integrity and good humor they exhibited, both working together and interfacing with me and my neighbors. I highly recommend them

Fantastic. Joe was very helpful in adjusting our ideas and his guys were friendly and courteous. He will be doing another project for us this year. We were impressed by work he did for a neighbor who worked with Joe for several projects and we couldn't be happier with him for ours.

The guys that installed the fence were great. They really did a great job, and cleaned up after the job was done. They also took the time to work with my crazy dogs. They came back a week later for more training and adjustments, and it has been working perfect. Great employees!

  • NORTH EASTERN POOL & SPA

We hired North Eastern Pools and Spas to do a liner replacement for our inground pool. We went with them because they were a family owned business with years in the industry. We were told we needed to put down a deposit to ensure our job to be done in Spring of 2021, so in fall of 2020 we paid for half of the job, and were told we would pay the remainder upon completion in Spring. At the time when the liner was put in it was raining heavily , but we were told that this would not be an issue. It took several days as the install began on a Friday, and the pool had to fill slowly in stages with fans running in order to keep the liner in place. The installer came out to finish installation on Monday, and the liner was sagging and wrinkled off the pool walls, The installer assured me that once the pool was full the wrinkles and sagging would be gone. We accepted this as the liner looked much better once we did have the pool filled. In the fall we closed our pool and once again the liner wrinkled and sagged. We immediately called and the service representative told us that she had notated the account , and that they would address it first thing in opening season in Spring. I called North Eastern pools in mid April of this year ,2022 to inquire about addressing the issue once we opened the pool. When I called , the service representative I spoke to was dismissive and unapologetic as she proceeded to tell me that they would come out sometime in June or possibly even July, weather permitting to assess the pool liner. I asked why I would have to wait as this was a job I had paid for which was under warranty. She told me that after they did “ pool reopenings”, they would come out after they addressed the 15 other people in line ahead of me. She proceeded to talk over me to the point I actually thought she couldn’t hear me , and that our connection was bad. She told me flatly ,” no I can hear you” . I told her it was unacceptable that I’d have to wait as this was a job already paid for that should have been completed correctly in Spring of 2021. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told much of the same , and this woman laughed and insinuated that I was lying when I told her I was assured in the fall it would be addressed first thing in spring. My husband removed the pool cover and we saw that the liner looked even worse than it had in the fall. My husband called and spoke to Gene ( the owner) who told my husband he, “ would not send anyone out to look at our pool without a credit card on file” . My husband told him this was a warrantied product/ service and that it wasn’t done correctly the first time , and that he would not pay additional money . My husband and I didn’t feel that we were comfortable with using North Eastern Pools not only after failing to do the job correctly, but also in light of how we were treated by the owner and service team. I’m thoroughly disappointed in their workmanship and their disregard bordering on contempt for their customers. Install errors can happen, but not standing behind their work, and the lack of regard for a customer who has paid for a job that wasn’t done well initially and then telling that customer they’d have to wait till June/July for any service appointment is completely unacceptable. The fact that pool openings were to be addressed first , (I’m guessing because this was money to be made versus monies already paid), is beyond wrong and prioritizing customers over a job that was supposed to be done right the first time is egregious. Our options were to not have a pool to use until June or July, or to go with someone else and lose the money spent on the initial Install by paying someone else to fix their mistake. We chose the latter. Do not make the same mistake, do not go with Northeastern pools and spas. They do not respect their customers time or money, and they do not stand by their work

Jordan was our installer/trainer. We are so pleased he was amazing came to our home walked with us around the property so we could talk about where we wanted the fence. He then told us where he would setup the base in our garage and where the wire would come out through the garage he asked us about a couple different options. We told him whatever is easiest for him. He responded with it isn’t what is easiest for me it is what is going to look the best and make you happy. We ended up going with his recommendation and you can’t even see the wire. 😁 He installed most of the fence in the sunshine but when he got to the last part it started down pouring and he kept working right through. When it came to getting the dogs involved our one dog was no problem. Our other dog is a very timid and scared dog. She was not having him be near her. He did not let that stop him. He worked with us and showed us how to do everything. He never once showed that he was upset or made us uncomfortable because our dog was nervous/stressed and acting up. They have a great way of introducing the fence to the dog but not making it a situation where you just immediately shock them. You gradually show them and they learn super quick with the training! I am so happy I chose Hidden pet fence and will recommend them to anyone who is interested in a fence

Joe and his team were outstanding. Very attentive to our ideas, suggested a few modifications that were better.. They were all very friendly and we're very happy to have found them. Work was very good, getting many positive comments on the job. Was referred by a neighbor and will be singing his praises to anyone who needs this sort of work. Have already gotten on his schedule for next spring to do more of the same

Fencing FAQ

  1. How much does it cost to install a fence?

Answer: The average cost to install a fence is $2,600. A variety of factors will impact the overall cost of fencing installation, such as the length of the fence, the materials you choose, and local labor costs. Fencing projects using the lowest cost materials and with lower labor costs can cost as little as $1 to $6 per linear foot, while projects using the highest cost materials and with higher labor costs may be as high as $15 to $45.

  2. Do I need a permit to build a fence around a yard?

Answer: Whether you’ll need a permit to build a fence around your yard will depend on your city or county's local codes. Many metropolitan and suburban areas require a permit to install most fencing, but they may not for fences situated behind a house as opposed to in front of it or fences that don’t run within a certain distance of the road. To find out if you’ll need a permit to fence your yard, reach out directly to your local government office.

  3. What is the cheapest fence to install?

Answer: The cheapest fencing to install is chain-link fencing. Chain-link fencing is typically cheaper than other fence types because the materials cost less, and installation is generally quicker and easier than other options. Chain-link fencing is affordable, easy to install, and low maintenance. However, it’s usually considered less secure than other options and doesn’t increase resale value as much as fences made of different materials.

  4. Is a wood or vinyl fence cheaper?

Answer: Wood fences are generally cheaper than the cost of vinyl fences. While the cost of materials for wood and vinyl fences is usually very similar, the labor cost associated with installing a vinyl fence is higher. Wood fencing is also easier to install than vinyl fencing, making it possible to save money by making wood fence installation a DIY project. It’s also possible to DIY install a vinyl fence.

  5. What is the life expectancy of a vinyl fence?

Answer: Vinyl fencing can be expected to last between 10 and 30 years. Vinyl fencing is generally low maintenance, but proper care will ensure it lasts as long as possible. Its long life span and high return on investment make vinyl fencing a popular option for many homeowners.

  6. What type of fence adds to the property value?

Answer: Installing quality fencing, no matter the fence type, will generally add value to your property. In general, fences made of longer-lasting, lower-maintenance, and more attractive materials—like wrought-iron, composite, or vinyl—add more value to a property than fences made of lower-cost or less attractive materials, like chain-link. To ensure your fencing adds as much value to your home as possible, be sure it’s properly permitted, approved by your homeowners association (if you have one), and installed properly.
