"Bid was done promptly and was in line with most of the others. (One outlier was 2.5X times the price, and tried to close me at first meeting!). While some of the other contractors suggested 5" gutters for my house, they suggested 6". I am glad I went with the 6", as I do not believe the narrower gutters would have been satisfactory after seeing the wider ones installed. A crew of three showed up at the house and got straight to work. The work was done within the time they estimated, and the property was left clean. It was rubbish day, so they cut up the old gutters for WM to take away. All in all a very positive experience, I would recommend them."
"I had my gutters cleaned. The job was done efficiently and left the yard spotless.
I will definitely hire Cleanupp again, very professional and courteous."
"LeafFilter doesn't clean gutters, they sell and install their LeafFilter Gutter products and only clean the gutters if you buy their product. I can't even begin to afford their product so I wasn't able to get my gutter cleaned by them."
"I needed to replace heat cable that no longer functioned. I had the old stuff taken out when I had my gutters cleaned last summer. After our early snows this winter, it was clear I needed to replace them. I contacted Scott through Home Advisor on Tuesday, he came over Wednesday morning to give me an estimate and was here on Friday morning to install the new heat cable. Being able to get a job like this done in the middle of January in Rochester is amazing! Scott and Damian were easy to work with, very responsive, professional and did a good, clean job, on time. I'd recommend them any time. Thanks, guys!"
"Craig was very personable and did a great job! His rates were reasonable. He trimmed 15 shrubs/bushes, cleaned up trimmings and took away the debris AND he came when he was scheduled."
"They were very efficient, friendly and communicative. I’m pleased because they cleaned up after themselves. I will continue to use them yearly to clean my gutters."

Hello, I am a hard working individual that wants to help others with things like cleaning to help make a difference in their lives and make it less stressful in an already difficult day to day life.
For Rochester homeowners, start with a spring inspection after thawing to spot winter damage and early clogs. During summer, check gutters monthly after thunderstorms, as wind can blow debris from nearby trees. In autumn, schedule cleanings in early October and again after the leaves drop. Winter calls for monitoring ice dams and icicle buildup, but always prioritize safety and avoid ladder work during icy conditions.

In Rochester, if you notice rainwater spilling over gutters, icicles or ice dams forming after a freeze, or dark streaks on your siding, it’s time to check your gutters. Look for clogs near downspout connections, piles of maple seeds, or moss growth—especially after heavy spring pollen. Animal nests and rust spots are also common in older Rochester neighborhoods and signal the need for another cleaning.
Helpful?
In Rochester, keep an extension ladder with stabilizers, heavy-duty gloves, and safety goggles for safe gutter cleaning. A gutter scoop, stiff brush, and garden hose help clear out leaves and granules, while a tarp protects landscaping. Stock ice melt suitable for gutters, sealant for minor leaks, and a roof rake for winter. Leaf blowers and insect spray are especially helpful during peak fall and summer maintenance.
Helpful?
In Rochester, gutter cleaning for a typical single-story home usually takes about 2-4 hours, while two-story homes or those with complex rooflines may require 4-6 hours. Homes in areas like Cobbs Hill with mature trees often take longer due to extra debris. Seasonal factors, such as heavy fall leaf drop or winter ice, can extend cleaning time, especially when addressing clogged gutters or rainwater management issues.
Helpful?
In Rochester, gutters along the north side of your home, especially near large maples or oaks, tend to collect the most debris. Homes in tree-lined neighborhoods like Browncroft or Highland Park often see frequent clogs in valley gutters and at downspout elbows. Areas exposed to lake-effect winds or shaded by dense foliage are also more prone to blockages and require regular home exterior maintenance.
