Great handy man business! They were able to get extra 5 inch double siding for me as I did not have enough for the job. The "Mack" showed up and did a great job doing a small repair many companies wouldn't bother with at an excellent price. Will definitely be using them again.

We had them install the backsplash which was the final part of our kitchen remodel. The final product came out great. However, we were not happy with how they left the project. I came home after work on Friday to a very messy kitchen with dried grout all over the counter tops, and specs of grout on our appliances, the floor, and on the brand new cabinets. I spent over an hour on Friday having to clean the entire kitchen. There were also boot marks on the floor. I took pics and sent them to the Owner. I told them we liked how the tiles looked but that the kitchen was a mess and the installer left the house without informing my husband, who was working at home, they he was leaving. If my husband had seen the kitchen before the installer left you certainly would have mentioned something. I told the office manager how the kitchen was left and that we would take $100 off the final invoice due to the mess and labor we had to put into cleaning. They also left the trash bags on the front lawn instead of putting them at the end of the driveway which every contractor does. Here the response is that if we had contacted them they would have sent the installer back to clean up. I should not have to tell them to clean-up. As an Architect, I have seen lots of works site to review completed projects and this was one of the worst clean-up jobs I have seen. Any contractor I would have worked with on a commercial project would have been embarrassed to show a project in this state at completion. I planned on using them for future work but will not and will not recommend them. If you do use them make sure you keep an eye on them at the end of the project.

"Hi [Member Name Removed]. As we completed your project on a Friday, while your husband was busy working from home, our technician cleaned up and did not bother him prior to leaving due to your husband seeming unavailable during work hours. I called you immediately Monday morning to address your weekend email with the few photos you provided, stating that we could have come over to clean up fully within 10-15 minutes at best, but you had already cleaned up that weekend. The $100 discount you requested seemed unreasonable to us, so we extended a $50 discount instead to be fair and meet in the middle. You even appreciated that extension. Unfortunately something very minor as far as clean up with excellent work results has resulted in us not working together in the future. We wish you the best."

TERRIBLE! Iwas overcharged for the half job that was done, and when I called to inquire about the rest of the work, Kelsey said "It's not in the work order." Yet a workman came out SIX WEEKS AGO, viewed the job, and drew pictures of what was to be done. This place has had nearly $3K of my money for SIX WEEKS -- and they did only part of the work. I still need the tub surround and the replumb -- so I paid nearly $3K for a 110 line, a ceiling fan, and less than 100 sq ft of ceiling paint???? Kelsey made no effort to rectify things, all she would say is that "It's not in the work order." I would NEVER hire these people again -- not unless I want to overpay for half a job!!! If I could give them no stars, I would.
Response from Mack Of All Trades
"[Member Name Removed], we are sorry you unfortunately mis read the estimate you accepted when you signed the contract, which had nothing in the work order regarding any plumbing. Everything we completed was what was accepted in the written contract by you that you called to tell me was great. I tried to speak to you twice on the phone to work through this process with you, but was hung up on twice. This is your third social media post to our company, with the same exact review. You trying to cause harm to someone’s company when you mid understood something is unfortunate. We certainly do not want any animosity and wish you the best."

Jim was on time and handled several different types of minor repairs. He was aware of all the little things I wanted done and completed them all successfully. He came with all of the materials required.

I have hired probably 15 different handyman companies in three states over the last 35 years. Mack of All Trades has been the best so far. They are real professionals at every level. From estimates, to the actual work, and my interaction with the office personnel. They are also very friendly and easy to work with with.

Mack of All Trades is our go to handy service for whatever project pops up in our fixer upper house. We have had them facelift a bathroom, retile a fireplace hearth, swap out all toilets and faucets in the house, fix a broken kitchen sink, frame and finish a fireplace we added to the house, and swap out a major cast iron pipe that was leaking all over our basement. We have dealt with MANY contractors in the past and this company is by far the most reliable. We keep their phone number on our fridge for the next bump in the road we find in this house!

Exactly what I hoped for. Neat and speedy work, including the fact that the attic access was very inconvenient and the lights were cumbersome to install.

Terrible they started by coming on to quote with all these promises of time and quality. They postponed us over 4 weeks and a jury b that was only supposed to take two weeks took over two months. I have pictures of the terrible work. We had to send a cease work letter and hire someone to redo and finish the job. Make sure you get a scope of work so the quote is legal and you have a leg to stand on when it all goes wrong. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with hiring a contractor.

Great! Brandon was very nice, worked quickly and did a fantastic job on replacing two living room windowsills that one of my dogs chewed. Amber and Michael were responsive and friendly scheduling the appointment and coming out to the do the estimate. The only reason I didn't give all As is because i think they were supposed to come the day before for the job. It was fine, though, will still call them next time in a heartbeat. Very happy overall.

Awesome. A++. Best experience I ever had with a handyman service. Mike's office is very professional, polite, and communicative. Mike's estimate for the work was very reasonable and Jeff did a beautiful job. I'll add thorough to my description of the work because Jeff went above and beyond and took pride in his craftsmanship and took the time to explain what he had done. For example, Jeff took the time to remove and replace all of the old kitchen caulk that had become discolored. Jeff didn't just glue my broken kitchen drawer. He reinforced it with hinges so that it won't come apart again. Mike's office even followed up with me by phone after the work was done to ensure my satisfaction. I'm putting together punch list #2 :)

The worked involved patching up some damaged drywall on our bathroom ceiling, rerouting duct work and patching the roof from the old vent that was replaced. The attention to detail on the work completed was great. They took pride in the work being completed and made sure they got it right. I look forward to working with them on future projects.

They did a sensational job. Mack has very diverse skills and are very knowledgeable. What surprised me was they document the jobs via smart phone photographs before and after the job. The Macks are very nice people and I would highly recommend them for handyman jobs

I had a lot of various tasks addressed in my 1850's home in Victor. Indoor painting, deck staining, curtain rods hung, replacement of door hardware, refinishing an old closet, gutter work on small roof, replacement of dryer vent , odds and ends repair in the home. They replaced my water heater as well. I had several different handy men and all were very polite and responsive. They were good when I gave suggestions or asked for attention to detail. Very pleased overall. More work planned in the Spring!

A-1 company with scruples. In this day and age of scam artists, this company is the best. Always does quality work, very professional and a great family owns and operates it. They are hospitable, courteous and friendly. Would not hesitate to hire them for everything I need done.

The evaluator came to our house in July to give us a free estimate. He explained the process well and gave us a quote. He informed us that they could do the work in one day (with two people) but could not start the job until September due to previously contracted work. We were not in a hurry and the estimate was reasonable so we agreed to have him come to do the work. We paid in full in July. Two weeks before the original start date in September, the team informed us that our start date was pushed back due to other work. Which we were fine with. The team continued to push our job back due to other big jobs running over without telling us. The issue is that their communication was very poor. One of the days they were supposed to come, I emailed to give them our garage code, and the team emailed me later to inform me that it would be another few weeks. Again and again they pushed our job back in favor or completing the other bigger jobs and routinely did not tell us. They finally started the job the first week in October (one month after the original estimated start time). The job was apparently more difficult than the estimator (who is different from the person doing the actual work) bargained for. The job took 12 business days with good weather plus one weekend day to complete because the team could only work on our job sparingly because they had other work to complete. During the 3 weeks we became increasingly frustrated with their lack of communication as they did not once inform us of how the project was going or when they expected to return except when we emailed them to bug them about it. They did call us when the job was 95% completed to tell us, and also to collect a $100 debris removal fee that was not in our initial contract (if we wanted to pay them to remove the debris). Overall, the work was adequate and the price was average. Ben (the contractor who actually did the work) was very nice and helpful and did exactly what we asked of him. However, we would not use the company again due to their poor communication, and inefficient scheduling.
Response from Mack Of All Trades
"Hello- I wanted to have the chance to respond to this feedback, and reiterate that we as a company will be taking this criticism and handling it to improve the way we handle exterior work. We did, however, have a chain of cooresponding e-mails updating you for the delays and why, and I myself personally left a few voicemails as I could never connect with anyone via phone. I feel that we did communicate as best as we possibly could have, but will always work on improving. The overlap in a 1 day completion of your project was due to the header being extremely difficult to remove, which in turn had many adjustments to be made. This set us behind with our ongoing projects in schedule, so we had to work yours back into our calendar to complete in a timely fashion. Since we had access into the garage, it was treated as more flexible, which is not as traditional when we need interior access which would require a client to be home. We sincerely apologize for the issues you voiced with your project, and really appreciated your business."
