Jake is a fraud he delayed my entire project by three months. he was hired to make plans for project and give us kid drawings with pencils and crayons with all stains on them. delayed our project for over 3 months in over 20k in damages . and this man is nasty just takes money and hangs up . the city inspectora even laughed when we submitted his plans . "Kenny from Horizon was very professional and a great guy. I appreciated his insight. He was just doing his job. He was very pleasant. However, I was disappointed in a tune up amounting to just a check of voltage on my motor and capacitors. I thought there would be cleaning involved and an adding of a pound of freon to my unit as advertised. That didn't happen. I received an estimate of over $700 for the replacement of 3 capacitors. I could replace all 3 for under $50. To charge $650 labor is raping the customer. Then the blower motor (that is NOT multispeed) was estimated at about $1100 replacement. The motor costs $210. So again...I feel raped. For a charge of almost$900 for labor. Unbelievable! I've lost my trust in companies that are so money hungry that they lose sight of reasonable business. I will now change out my own parts as I have no confidence of reasonable pricing. Maybe people can afford to be overcharged about $1100. I can't and I won't if I can help it. Next time I'll use my own voltage meter and check my motor voltage and resistance on my capisiters myself. They should be paying me for their so called "tune-ups" as they are only a ploy to pressure you to buy a new furnace/AC system. Ohh and they won't install a new furnace to an old AC unit and Visa versa. That's what the guy told me. Are you kidding me? He told me it would cost$11,000-17,000 for a new system. My father in law just replaced both for $9,000.... So again a minimum of $2,000 overcharge. Nope, Horizon, your scam won't work with me. I'll be glad to tell everyone I meet and show them your ridiculous estimates!"
