Repair stucco/rebuild stucco on chimney & add chimney cap. Roof was very steep and stucco had disintegrated down to mesh...had leakage problems. We were having hard time finding a mason & Keystone Masonry was the perfect find!

I selected Keystone based on reviews on Angie's list. Of three estimates I received, Keystone Masonry fell in the middle. The first mortar Mark Rabuck used on the wing wall was the wrong color so I had him redo it. He made a mess leaving mortar residue all over the brick and did the same when he repaired the chimney. I did not say anything because I assumed it would wash off. My mistake! Then, in May of 2015 (18 months later) the flowerbed started falling apart and I called and explained what the problem was. After a series of excuses on his failure to come out and look at my flowerbed, Mark Rabuck finally sent me an e-mail saying the warrantee was only one year and I would have to pay for any work he did. This was not stated anywhere on the paper work or between us personally. Being concerned about the quality of work, I sent my son up on the roof to check the chimney cap and find out he did not repour it as stated on the invoice but just filled in the problem areas with synthetic cement. At this point, I took Mark Rabuck and Keystone Masonry to small claims court in August and won judgment. Mark took me back to court and I won again on October 15. Mark Rabuck has yet to pay me the judgment amount and has not replied to two e-mails inquiring what he intents to do. I RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY BRICK WORK!!! If you would like to see pictures of the job he did contact me at mrs_p50@hotmail.com and I will send you pictures.

This lady was an alcoholic on a mission , I’ve never seen a woman driven to be right so much , she took me to small claims and I just gave up , she was looking for a refund for work performed, I learned a huge lesson on when to just give up with this customer, I appreciate the experience but not the bad review.

Description of Work
We had Keystone do extensive brick repair work on the facia adjoining our driveway. This required a lot of detailed work to replace some of the bricks and repair the facing on others. The job results look great. We appreciate the help in refreshing the brick column. What a relief!

When I called Keystone for a bid he said he would be out in a few days. After more than one cancellation and a no show he finally showed up about 3 weeks later. First impressions count and in this case I would not have used them regardless of the price.

I would just like to apologize for the missed appointments, I have so many calls that some just slip through the cracks, I eventually try to make it there but its sometimes to little too late. I know I need to work on that. In fact I'm so busy and understaffed because you cant find any bricklayers anymore, they really are a dying breed. That's why I'm just checking my reviews for the first time in months. My goal is to get better at keeping appointments.

He was a No Show for 4 appointments that I made with him to give me an estimate on a brick chimney repair and front steps replacement.
Description of Work
Provider did not show for any of the appointments we made to give me an estimate. Last appointment was a NO CALL/NO SHOW. I wasted my precious time waiting for him to show. If he was not interested, I wish he had just said so. He may do good work, but I'll never know.

Excellent workmanship. Great attention to detail. Took the time to do the job right. Had some weather delays and waiting on material etc.. but always called and kept us informed. Fixed some other issues with front door and tuck pointing back wall that was not on original bid. Very fair upcharge for the work and was upfront about cost before work performed.
Description of Work
Replaced Brick front porch. Leveled and tuck-pointed existing back wall. Shored up front door. Can actually open the door now. Sealed all wall areas and then rebuilt porch with new brick and poured new porch cap.

Contractor was chronically late for all appointments by 2-3 hours. He stayed and worked well into the evening, even in the dark. I appreciate that he got it done eventually, but did not like having someone there till 9:30 at night. He did a good job on the concrete stairs - they look great. He left a mess in my basement when he repaired the front stoop. He also used a folding chair in my basement to stand on without asking - it is now a mess. For the wood railing on the back stoop, I specifically asked for a 4-5" space to be left under the bottom of the railing so I could sweep snow off in the winter. I also wanted the railing going down the stairs. At first, he did not want to do this (said something about code did not require it for the 3 steps going up) but it was part of the estimate that I approved. I asked him to fix the space under the railing and put on the railing for the stairs. He did come back and fix all to my satisfaction. Very nice guy, just not punctual or professional.
Description of Work
Took out old concrete steps to back stoop along with the old wrought iron railing. Re-poured stairs with new concrete and put in wood deck railing around stoop. Also repaired 2' x 2' portion of front stoop and replaced 1 concrete block on corner of front stoop.

I would just like to apologize for being late, I have so many calls that its hard to make it on time, I try to make it there on time but its sometimes very difficult. I know I need to work on that. My goal is to get better at being on time. I should not have used your chair to stand on that was wrong as well as working so late, I just get so backed up I have to work into the night. There's a lot of things I need to work on I know.

Arrived and finished the same day. Finished job looks great.
Description of Work
My front porch bricks were crumbling so I had Keystone Brick and Stone Masonry come out to give an estimate. Estimate was below my expectations. Bricks were replaced and stained to match the rest of the bricks. It looks GREAT! I will use Keystone Brick and Stone Masonry if I need anymore work done. Highly recommended.
