Mike and his team from Out on a Limb tree service did a fantastic job at my home in Aksarben. I recently purchased the home and found Mike's business, Out on a Limb. His team was professional, tidy and quick. Thank you to Out on a Limb for the great work! I would recommend and hire again any day!

Wow! Amazing from start to finish. Easy and fast quote process. Continual communications and simple rescheduling process when weather didn't support work as originally scheduled. Left for work with two 40' white burch tree trunks growing too close to the house AND on top of the water and gas lines...and returned home both removed and area fully cleaned up. Stump grinding occurred on a different day and you can't even tell there was a 3' stump or tree ever there! Delays from the weather were easily worked through and work came back exactly at the quote...which was best of three different companies I checked with. Very impressed, especially for how busy the industry was after the last two wind storms. Will do business again. Thanks Monster Tree Service

Mr. Torres promptly and professionally met me at my home even earlier than the appointed time. He assisted me in estimating what it would cost to get a large job done. The difficult job included removal, stumping and branch trimming of a number of trees. On the day the work was to be done, I decided to drive by and they were already in the final stages of cleaning up. I was literally surprised at how quickly his crew including his father got the job done. The stumps are barely above ground, I would say mostly ground level except for one. I'm told you have to let them settle and then drill holes and put some stuff in them to degrade them enough to be underground before planting any grass. I'll have to follow up with Mr. Torres to see if that's the case. I called and looked up three well known local tree service businesses beforehand and he by far gave me the most reasonable quote. I would definitely give M & A Tree Service a call for any of your tree service and landscaping needs. Alex is very honest and very fair. He even let me know he will be checking on everything in the future. Give him a call, he'll handle your lawn like it's his own. You couldn't ask for more

The services performed went as smooth as expected. Mike was able to trim our biggest tree and remove an entire evergreen that had been exposed to bag worms. The work was quick and efficient and I would highly recommend him to anyone. We will definitely utilize his expertise in the future.

August of 2000 we had a huge wind storm come thru Omaha and my Mom's neighborhood. Her largest tree fell on her house. Mom called Mr. Wiekhorst and he came the same day to give her an estimate. He and his crew started the next day because there was damage to her roof They worked long hours and did a great job. All the guys were very hard workers and polite to Mom. Their job was well done. They cleaned up great. I was super pleased to have this off our shoulders. Thanks for your honesty

While Mike didn’t do the work himself, his workers were top notch. They were respectful, safe, and on point with each other. The work they did wasn’t easy as there was one tree that had to be dropped between a propane tank and a chicken coop. The price was very reasonable and Mike had his crew out in a matter of days to do the work. A+ work and I’ll be using them in the future

Mike was quick to respond and worked through the best way to remove the trees for us. He worked with our schedule and price was great. He even went above and beyond. He saw that our plow truck wasn't working, so after he was done working for the day, he plowed our driveway and road leading up to our house. Great guy, great company

Great! My house was going on the market and he rearranged his schedule to complete the work sooner. His pricing was competitive and completely reasonable, he went over and beyond and him and his team worked hard! Left the site looking clean and was always there when he said he'd be. Took precaution to make sure streets were blocked when needed

Tree Service FAQ

  1. How much does it cost to remove a tree?

Answer: Typically, tree removal costs between $200 and $2,000. Tree removal costs vary widely based on the number of trees being removed, the height of each tree, the diameter of each tree trunk, and accessibility to the tree. Smaller trees are usually less expensive to remove than larger ones, as are those that are more easily accessible.

  2. Do you need a permit to cut down a tree?

Answer: In many areas, you don’t need a permit to cut down a tree on your own private, residential property. But some municipalities may require tree removal permits for conservation purposes or to comply with local ordinances. When you hire a tree removal pro, they’ll be able to tell you whether you need a permit for your specific tree removal project.

  3. When is a good time to trim trees?

Answer: In most regions, the best time to trim your trees is during the winter months. During the active growing season (spring through fall), trimming your trees can leave them more vulnerable to disease and less likely to thrive. During the winter months, when trees are dormant, trimming them will cause less stress and leave them ready to grow again in the spring.

  4. What is the average cost to cut a tree down?

Answer: Tree removal costs between $200 and $2,000 per tree. Establishing an average cost can be difficult because each tree will be assessed and priced based on factors like height, trunk diameter, and accessibility. In general, smaller trees cost less to remove than larger trees, as do trees that are more accessible.

  5. How much does it cost to service a tree?

Answer: The cost to service a tree is typically between $430 and $1,320. The cost to service a tree depends on several factors, including what exactly you’d like done, the tree’s height, its health, the location of the tree, and local labor costs. The national average cost for tree services is $865. Tree trimming isn’t necessary for all trees but can improve their health and longevity by encouraging new growth.

  6. What is the difference between tree trimming and pruning?

Answer: While tree trimming and tree pruning might appear similar to the untrained eye, they serve different purposes. Tree pruning is used to thin a tree by removing unnecessary or burdensome branches. Tree trimming promotes healthy growth by trimming but not removing branches.
