Redmond Heating and Air is fully licensed and duly registered by the state of North Carolina to install HVAC systems up to fifteen tons. It is a small company that can do service or install. We accept cash or check as form of payment.

"If you’re looking for a reliable, honest, and knowledgeable HVAC professional, we can’t recommend Redmond Heating and Air (Kenneth Redmond) enough! We’ve used Kenneth for the past few years and have always been so impressed with his expertise and integrity. He’s a one-man show with a straightforward, honest approach - no upselling or unnecessary repairs. He actually saved us thousands of dollars when another large HVAC company told us our downstairs unit couldn’t be fixed and needed a full replacement. Kenneth came out, diagnosed the issue, temporarily repaired it with one of his own used parts, then later found the replacement part under warranty and installed it. It’s been running perfectly ever since! We truly appreciate having someone we can trust with our home’s HVAC systems and will continue recommending him to everyone we know. "

Family owned and operated, my primary goal is to provide you with accurate information, without the hype!! Go check us out www.TheMoldSolutionsGroup.com Information that simply tells you what your issues are (if any). Then we give you options on how to fix it. Plus, we stick by what we have done through annual inspections for as long as you own your home…at no charge. Crazy right? We work backwards from trying to help you figure out what your situation is first and then whether or not you can or want to take care of it yourselves. See our reviews that substantiate this!! We are constantly trying to innovate the process of providing information to the masses. Our Virtual Mold Consulting service is a prime example of how we do business with you in mind. If you have a potential problem, take some pictures and send them to us. Then give us a call. Many times we can walk you through what the potential problem is right then and there. Heck, get your iPad or IPhone out and facetime with us. The gist is, you get real information when you want it, in your pajamas if you like, without having to wait for us to come to you. We can usually assess if it is something you need to worry about or if it is something you could possibly take care of yourself. We want you know what you’re dealing with and if warranted, we will send an inspector out to see it in person…at no charge.

Angie's List members receive a 10% discount on a comprehensive energy audit. Peak Energy Inc is a home performance contractor specializing in home comfort and energy efficiency. We utilize up to date specialty diagnostic equipment to help homeowners identify cost effective retrofit opportunities. We currently self perform assessments and retrofit quality control. Qualified subcontractors are utilized on an as needed basis for certain retrofit work.

"We had serious issues with our second (half) story being consistently warmer than our first story, bringing with it very high electric bills. Peak Energy performed an energy audit that identified the issue and then sealed our attic (in the middle of a summer heat wave, no less) in 2 days. The team was professional and punctual and the discrepancy in our temperatures between the two floors went from >5 degrees to <2 degrees."

"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. There was a deadline for installing this part before tenants arrive. They did not care, would not m"

"Blaze acquired Comfort Master, the company that originally installed my HVAC unit 8 years ago. So, I hired them for an annual inspection. They told me the heat exchange unit was cracked and needed to be replaced. The part was still under warranty. They quoted me a price of $2,600 for the labor. I asked how long the job would take and the tech said 3-5 hours. That is $650/hour! I told them I would get someone else to look at it. I then said I needed a thermostat installed and I had the item. They quoted me $500 for a 15 minute job to hook it up. These prices were absolutely crazy to me. The second company I brought in agreed the heat exchanger was cracked and said it was probably due to improper installation. Before he left, the tech told me about a plan for $349/year for an annual inspection of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. I agreed to buy that, as that was a good deal versus what you would normally pay for all 3 separately. A few weeks later they sent a tech over for the electrical inspection. I started getting concerned after he told me 4 times how frugal he was personally. I was right. He gave me a list of things that needed fixing totaling over $10,000. I then contacted my regular electrician and gave him the list. He recommended only 2 items on it costing under $500. Be very wary of Blaze, they gouge and do unnecessary work."

Air Innovations is locally owned and operated. We are a licensed and insured company with over 20 years experience in the heating and cooling industry. Air Innovations strives to be the very best and that is why our motto is Do It Right The First Time.

"Air Innovations continues to impress! Technician Teddy completed the A/C portion of our annual Maintenance plan today. He was punctual, and efficiently carried out his inspection of our split-level system on both outside- & attic-located equipment over the course of 1+ hours. But his service didn't stop there: Because our split-A/C system is now 20 years old, he alerted me that its life is now very limited, which prompted a discussion of near future replacement. And on this topic, he was VERY informative (I learned how very expensive HVAC & A/C systems have become-- both to repair/upgrade & replace, owing largely to upgraded coolant/refrigerant requirements), and he subsequently motivated me to start exploring strategies to upgrade our system in the next year or two via purchasing-options that might save me some money on what will be a VERY expensive proposition. All-in-all, I think this service call far exceeded the value of the usual visit, and serves to continue AI's exceedingly fine reputation and commitment to quality... from the owner on down through his various technicians who have served us."

Usually, ductwork is not included when you purchase a new HVAC system; it needs to be purchased separately. As far as installation, you’d need to speak with your local duct installer or HVAC technician directly to learn what their services include, but having your entire ductwork system replaced is likely to be more expensive than simply having your new AC unit installed without ductwork replacement.

Replacing both an AC and a furnace takes a full day on average, ranging from eight to 12 hours. The process involves removing the old units, installing the new ones, and ensuring all connections are properly made. If both systems are being replaced simultaneously, it can take longer than installing a furnace alone, so plan accordingly.

While it's generally safe to stay in a home with a coolant leak if your home is properly ventilated, it's important to have a professional come out to assess the situation right away. You should evacuate your home if you notice any powerful fumes. Additionally, you should leave your home if you are experiencing headaches or dizziness.

You should get anywhere from three to five quotes for HVAC replacement to get an idea of the average cost of a new unit. Although this quote-collecting process can be time consuming, it allows you to compare what work is required, what type of unit you should install, and how much you should expect to pay for the service.

One of the first signs of mold in an air conditioner is a musty smell. You're likely to notice the smell when the unit runs, from the air coming out of the vents or the unit itself. You may also be able to see mold growing on the unit, such as near the condenser coils or by the fan. In some cases, there may be visible mold by the vents.
