"Ducts were cleaned as we contracted for. When they finished the HVAC ducts they said they would do the dryer vent as a complimentary service. I told them I had recently cleaned it and they would probably not get much lint out of the vent. I was amazed at all they got out and it was at no additional charge."

"Our entire heating and air system failed. We called JLHVAC and electrical LLC. A technician responded within 30 minutes. He diagnosed the problem and explained it to us in terms we could understand and trust. Our system was aged so we opted to have the heat pump and air handler replaced. Joshua Long and his team replaced all of that plus a new digital thermostat the next day. The total price was a few thousand less than what we expected to pay. If there were more than 5 stars to rate with, we would give more stars."

If your home has an existing forced-air heat system, you can add a central air conditioner to it. An HVAC technician can retrofit your forced-air heating system by installing an evaporator coil onto the furnace plenum, the box next to the furnace that draws in air. Once installed, the air conditioning coils use the furnace’s blower to circulate the air.

AC leaks are common, and an HVAC pro can usually fix them. You may be able to resolve some leaks on your own, but a professional HVAC technician should handle most AC leak repair. If left ignored, an AC leak could cause serious damage to your system or leave you with expensive water damage, usually leading to more costly repairs or replacements.

Most HVAC companies charge a flat service call fee of between $75 and $150, which includes traveling to your home and inspecting your system to find the underlying problem.
