"Person who visited was very polite and noted that what I purchased was likely not something that would meet my expectations.  I wanted an energy audit, how my systems could be improved in home, lighting, heating, insulation and air conditioners.  What I got was a list of things they could work on and the price to do that work.  The work list in no way was considered an energy audit, rather it was a punch list of things I could do based on their visual inspection.  I did not have a comparison of work and benefit/savings calculation.  There was no checklist of inefficiencies and how that translated into energy losses. "I think they did it all in one day. When we decided to go with them. We have one room that doesn't have a second story with recess lights. That room is fairly new, we put it in 6 years ago. He showed me pictures of stucco in there. All those lights were coming in through those recess lights, they were not properly caulked or insulated, so we were losing a lot of beautiful energy through those recess lights. He corrected that. "The busy office staff was friendly and professional. My calls and emails were promptly returned.

Our estimate was scheduled, and Jack came to our home to provide it.
He answered all our questions and left a detailed proposal. Once we signed and returned the proposal, the 2-day work was scheduled for 2 weeks out. A snowstorm delayed the start date one more week.

Day 1 -
Jason and Justin arrived on time. The first job was insulating some of our basement ceiling copper pipes to help them resist freezing. (One pipe had frozen and burst in February's extended cold snap. It was repaired by a plumber, thus the drywall repair.)
The second job was replacing the drywall.
It was suggested that I remove the stairwell art so they could bring in the sheet of drywall without harming the art.
After the drywall was done, they removed the debris.

After hearing that I was concerned about drywall dust that could result from tomorrow's sanding, Jason gave me a suggestion to minimize the amount of dust: turn off the heat during sanding, and open the windows.

Day 2 -
The workers arrived as promised.
The office called to make sure I was pleased so far, and that the work was going as planned.
The sanding of the drywall, of course, generated dust, but they considerately used a vacuum during sanding, which, combined with the open windows, greatly reduced the amount of dust in the air.
(I was understandably elated that this was the first drywall repair where I experienced no respiratory distress!)
There's another step before the actual painting begins (perhaps "sealing" the drywall?)
The ceiling was painted with paint we provided.

Jason and Justin cleaned up. The job was completed on time, beautifully done.

"My husband installed a new back door that was not closing correctly.  I paid for the Handyman At Your Command Big Deal where you get 4 hours handyman work for $199.00.  I had to pay additional because we didn't have the correct supplies to complete the job.  The handyman went to home depot and purchased the supplies needed.  He had to take off the door completely to balance it.  He framed it out and insulated the perimeter outside.  It took him 6 plus hours to do the work and shopping.  The result was excellent!  The door is very attractive and best of all, opens and closes smoothly and gently.  I would hire them again to do work on our house.  I recommend them !"

"There was an issue with the site manager, who said it would go an certain way, but the actual installer said it would not. I asked if the fireplace was energy efficient,  and he assured me it was, as this was the main source of heat for my room addition. They gave me a floor model, and could not tell me how old it was. They did the job right, right away, and on time, but my concern was the unit. They refused to give me any information on this unit, which is very shady. I was put on hold, and when they called back, they did not answer the phone. Who calls you back, and does not answer the phone. The promptness and professionalism is great, but they could have broke down the cost of the unit."
