- What sets me apart from other top inspectors is rather than spending 2-1/2 to 3 hrs. merely documenting the home's structure, systems, and components, and identifying deficiencies and potential problems; I focus upon teaching you about the home. Yes, it will be me, not a (surprise) employee, who will be serving you. Rather than simply enabling you to make informed decisions regarding your contract to purchase, I am enabling you to understand the specifics of your future home, which thereby enable me to teach you how to operate its systems most efficiently, reduce your energy costs, and how to maintain your home and protect your investment. You needn’t ask if you can accompany me and ask questions — I will arrive about an hour before you to set up my program, and document exterior conditions. Upon your arrival we will enter, conduct a detailed orientation, then inspect the home together. During which I’ll explain everything and answer any questions you may have. When we’ve completed inspecting, we’ll review the draft of the upcoming report, so you’ll know what issues will be in the report before we leave. Please be prepared to spent 4 hours with me. Why hire an inspector whose services merely meet Licensing and Certification minimum requirements which focus only upon protecting your contractual needs by identifying deficiencies and concerns? When for the same investment, you can participate in an LBI Education Inspection which in addition to providing you with a more comprehensive report, also teaches you all about the property, answers your questions, and provides a report created to serve as an informative manual similar to what is in the glove box of your vehicle.
""Mark was AMAZING! I know so much about my new home. He paid attention to detail and answered every question I had with no problem. I would call him for help again with no hesitation.""

"This company is a one man show. Provider is very unprofessional and unethical. He stated that there was no warranty on an icemaker that he installed. Don't use this person you will have definite regrets! Provider checked my icemaker that was not working properly. Provider stated that it needed to be replaced. Provider went to pick up an icemaker and stated the cost of 215.00. When provider came back the icemaker was operating. I told the provider that the ice maker was working and provider stated that the ice tray was dirty and peeling and still needed to be replaced. I questioned the provider about replacing the icemaker as it only looked stained from the hard water in our house. The provider insisted that it was peeling and needed to be replaced. Hesitantly, I allowed provider to replace the icemaker. I had texted the provider and asked him to provide a warranty for the icemaker and labor. I received no reply via text. I resent the text on Friday March 01 and the provider replied that he sent the information. I checked my email and the provider resent the invoice and added that there was no warranty on the icemaker and the labor was 30 days. I texted the provider and asked who the manufacturer was and their contact information. He texted back Tribles Appliance. I called Tribles Appliance in Rockville, MD and was told that all parts have a one year warranty. At this point I knew the provider was lying and did not want to deal with him at all."

When I finally got somebody else to come out to look at the problem, they told me that the warranty had just expired on the part that needed replacing. Putting 2 +2 together, Buric ghosted me to run out the clock on my warranty for the repair of the product they installed. Would you ever hire anybody who behaves like that???"

When Glenmont Heating & Air Conditioning was founded 28 years ago, we had one goal in mind; providing area families, and businesses with solutions that fit their lifestyles and needs, as well as their wallets. If you have any questions about heating and air conditioning maintenance, a new HVAC system, or are looking into installing a more energy efficient system, Glenmont Heating and Air is the solution to your needs.
"Summary: Company charged me $1000+ for 2 separate service visits that did not fix my AC unit; technicians and Operations Manager are not truthful about work done; Operatiins Mngr will tell you find another HVAC company when you express dissatisfaction ….I contacted Glenmont Heating and Air Conditioning since my AC unit was not dispensing any cold air. Thermometer was set to 68° however the unit temperature was reading 77-80° (note this was the week of extreme heat wave). On 21Jun2024: Glenmont technician Roderick performed a service call. I spoke to him via phone after the call to which he told me he added refrigerant to the system. This did not fix the issue and the unit continued to not dispense cold air with the thermometer reaching 77-80° despite being set to 68°. I was charged $119 for this work. Operating Manager Tim Schindle is contradicting what the tech said and claims Roderick did not add any refrigerant. I again called Glenmont HVAC for a second service appointment. This technician claimed the coil needed to be cleaned. The second technician (Eric) then falsely reported on his report the unit temperature dropped to 68° when he left when I have photographic evidence showing the temperature in the high 70s. I waited about 24hrs as instructed for the thermostat to drop and it never did and the unit continued to not dispense cool air. I then called a supervisor (don’t recall name) who essentially told me due to the extreme temperatures everyone was experiencing HVAC issues and did not recommend any follow up service. I then had several back/forth emails with Operations manger Tim Schindler to notify him after 2 separate service visits, my air conditioning was not fixed. In the end he told me, and I quote “my system is old…we don’t know the maintenance history…it is best for both of us to find another HVAC company. He did however bill me $964 for the second service visit, which did not fix my issue. I ended up having to call another HVAC company who diagnosed the problem as a compression failure/ replaced the unit and now have cold air blowing. The second HVAC company did not understand why the 2nd technician from Glenmont Heating/Air Conditioning was changing coils and said this was not necessary to do. Second HVAC company showed me the reading of the compressor unit to which I could see no charge was registering, essentially the compressor was no longer working which was the root cause of my issue. In conclusion, I’m disappointed with Glenmont HVAC and feel they sent incompetent technicians who falsified their work. When I complained to the company and expressed my disappointment with their work (or lack there of) they told me to seek other HVAC company without fixing my AC unit but charged me $1000+. Poor business acumen and highly unethical company that needs to be held accountable for cheating customers and not performing quality work."

If your refrigerator needs to be repaired, contact an appliance repair company to diagnose the issue and repair your refrigerator. It’s okay to leave it plugged in and running, but unplug it if it makes unusual noises.
Signs that your refrigerator may need repairs include:
Food items are not being held at the correct temperature (between 35 and 38 degrees Fahrenheit)
The fridge is using too much energy and seems to run all the time
Loud and/or unusual noises
Possible causes include:
A damaged door
Faulty condenser coil
Malfunctioning control board
Contacting an appliance repair professional as soon as possible can help save items in your fridge from spoiling. Common fridge repairs include the compressor, control board, thermostat, defrost motor, coils, and ice maker.
The average cost to hire an HVAC contractor is between $50 and $150 per hour if charging hourly. However, some HVAC contractors will charge a flat fee by the type of service they are performing—for example, an inspection can cost between $150 to $500. Keep in mind that emergency repairs—which are made after business hours or around major holidays—generally cost more than scheduled repairs.
Yes, most states require HVAC technicians to be certified, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed HVAC technician could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
The average cost to repair an appliance depends on the appliance, make, model, the part that needs repair, and how long it takes to replace or repair a part. The following are the average repair costs for the most common appliances:
Refrigerator: $200–$300
Freezer: $90–$500
Oven, cooktop, range: $100–$500
Microwave: $50–$400
Dishwasher: $160–$300
Garbage disposal: $70–$250
Washing machine: $50–$450
Dryer: $100–$400
Appliance repair contractors may charge $40 to $120 per hour for labor, and most also provide the replacement parts necessary at an additional cost. It’s also important to note that these prices can go up on holidays and emergency fees may apply if you need your appliance fixed immediately.
On average, home inspections cost about $350, ranging from $200 to $500, depending on the home’s size, age, and location, plus any specialty inspections required. Additional cost factors include testing for asbestos or conducting thermal imaging tests to find infestations, checking energy efficiency, and looking for structural or electrical problems. If your home is more than 2,000 square feet, you can expect to pay $400 or more.
