"For nearly 4 months , we made numerous follow ups (via email, texts and phone calls) after the project was complete in September 2020 without any response. While there was clearly some sort of disconnect here, we cannot address an issue we didn't know existed - your communication to our team regarding the stove and tiling was very complimentary until we sent you the bill. We did offer you an option for a standard stove which required modifying the firebox opening but you did not want to proceed with that. It was not until January 2021, you responded to our follow up email by insulting every individual on our team and brought up the complaint about the stove. We immediately e-mailed you back, offered solutions and again no response. We continued to follow up and finally yesterday you answered our call stating you were in a meeting so you couldn't really talk but demanded that we come remove the stove NEXT burning season (6 months from now) to which we responded that it doesn't work like that, because there is a return policy so if we must return a product there is a specified window of time in which we could do it. You hung up on us and now leave a review that is a complete misstatement of facts and events. If we make a mistake we own it - when the crew ran behind schedule because they had to purchase material prior to coming to you, we apologized and did our best to meet your timeline. We are not perfect, but we do our best to ensure that our clients are satisfied prior to, during and post installation. As an example of that effort, we spent nearly 3 months meeting with you at tile shops and at your home to review the project before we even had an approved contract or deposit, because we wanted to make sure that you were happy with what we proposed. As stated in our emails to you, including one sent yesterday, we are more than willing to work with you on a resolution. So please reach out to us at your earliest convenience to settle this matter. We will await your response."
"Mr. [Member Name Removed], First of all WHAT YOU HAVE PRESENTED AS THE ESTIMATE IS NOT IN FACT THE ESTIMATE - IT IS THE INVOICE OF TOTAL WORK COMPLETED. Interesting that you did not display the picture of the contract you signed, because doing so would prove that your interpretation and basis for this review is wholly incorrect. Your review is a gross misinterpretation of facts and events, and I will be sure to contact Angie's List to dispute this review. I am not able to attach photos in my response, but I will be sure to forward your signed contract and our email correspondences (with your wife) to Angie's List for review. Here is the deal, you signed a contract authorizing us to reline your hot water heater and to perform point up on your chimney. The stainless steel rain and animal guard included in the contract was a termination cap - it is a a code required cap for a relined system. You have argued that the contract included two rain and animal guards, please refer to the contract you signed and tell me where do you see any item displaying 2 quantities? And you may then revise your review to display it so that facts are accurately presented. You contacted us to complain about your rusty cap (covering your fireplace flue) because it didn't look aesthetically pleasing i.e. "they don't match" and on top of that you wanted it for free. We told you that while it was rusted, it was in relatively good shape and we would not install it for free because the contract did not include replacing a cap for your fireplace. We agreed on the $110.00 for the additional cap and returned to replace it and submitted a photo to that effect. If we make a mistake we have no problem correcting it. Replacing your rusted cap was elective and closer evaluation of the contract you signed would have revealed early on that only one cap was included. At which time you could have reached out to us and asked about the other cap for the fireplace."
