"All Under One Roof recently replaced my roof on a 3-story, 200+ year old Federal in Newburyport. It was a big job that entailed removing 3 layers of rolled roofing/asphalt shingles; removing original skylight & taking down old dormant chimney to roof line and roofing over both; installing ½ “ plywood and asphalt shingles over new roof. I can’t say enough good things about All Under One Roof. They had a great crew and did a fantastic job. In fact, my neighbor across the street who had a birds eye view of work in progress, then hired them to replace his roof. John Lanzafame, the company’s owner, is a jewel. He’s very professional, responsible and communicative – a “take charge” guy in the best meaning possible. I was completely comfortable and confident that I was in good hands, and did not have to worry about micro managing the work. I should also point out that All Under One Roof began work on date scheduled (a month in advance) and completed the job (start to finish) in short order. I highly recommend All Under One Roof. Company was hired to correct the issues caused by a prior roofer whose incompetence has cost me additional thousands in repair. On Top Roofing installed a ridge vent that the prior roofer only placed on the roof, re-flashed the chimney where prior roofer failed to install to match new rook lines, re-surface flat rook where prior roofer ignored. In addition, On Top Roofing was used on apartment buildings to help close up the roof and eliminate a bat problem. On the Top Roofing is the only roofing company to use. It takes a while to get on their schedule, but they show when they say the will and do the job they say they will do. Only hire On the Top!! You will not regret."

"The contractor was knowledgeable and skilled and took the time (perhaps 15 minutes) to examine 4 or our 6 roofs (we have little house with two main sloped roofs, one small less sloped roof and three small flat roofs).
He did not take the time to examine the remaining roofs, saying that he had done enough for us, that there was no charge and that we were in good shape. While I believe the contractor and am somewhat reassured, I would have preferred that he take another few minutes to examine the remaining roof or even to say that he would do that for a charge.
The reason I feel this way is that each roof is different. Flat roofs last 20 years. Ours are 17 years old. One of the flat roofs not inspected is different in that it has glue seams in the middle that may or may not be a problem. It was such a bad winter last year, and I had noticed that one of our flat roofs was starting to curl up a little bit where it is attached under a gutter (hard to explain). I also had noticed a stain that was due to an ice dam (although we had no leakage inside). So concern for our roofs is warranted
As it is, I will be getting another roofer to come to inspect at least the last flat roof and for a second opinion. This certainly is not the end of the world. I might or might not have opted to have the second inspection if the contractor had examined the remaining flat roof
