"Called Paul to consult on a quick charger for an electric vehicle as well as to replace several outdoor outlets at my home. He went above and beyond to plot out the best and cheapest path from our electrical panel to the driveway in our renovated and added onto â 50â s ranch. The work he did I was quick and quality. We have plans to have him back for more in the spring. Highly recommend!"

Small jobs welcome

"I hired Mike to rewire and replace the outlets in my home as well as install brand new lighting, outlets and switches in the finished attic. His workmanship is nothing short of exceptional. It's plain to see that Mike is a professional who cares about his work, and more importantly his clients. His pricing is also very competitive. No need to worry about mile-long contracts and being charged hourly on top of exorbitant fees etc. If you are looking for any kind of electrical work to be done in your home, I highly recommend you give Mike a call or text. I guarantee your experience will be as good as mine was!"

"I hired Peter to replace an electrical panel in my aunt's condo. He responded immediately, was professional, knowledgeable and very accommodating with his schedule so I could get the job done while my aunt was hospitalized. His team of two young men were extremely polite and neat and cleaned up so well that you would never have known they worked there. I would highly recommend and hire PW DiMasi Electrical again. They went above and beyond my expectations."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Completing electrical projects in Winchester offers immediate safety improvements, especially in older Colonial and Victorian homes common to the area, by reducing fire hazards and correcting outdated wiring. Long-term, you’ll increase your home’s value and energy efficiency, making it easier to add features like EV charging stations or solar panels. Staying current with local codes also supports insurance compliance and helps prevent unexpected electrical repairs.

Helpful?

In Winchester, you’ll find full-service electrical contractors for residential, commercial, and industrial needs, as well as specialists in solar installations, smart home automation, EV charging stations, and backup generators. Some contractors focus on updating historic home wiring, which is important in Winchester’s established neighborhoods. Many are experienced with local permitting and coordinating with utility providers for seamless project completion.

Helpful?

After electrical work in Winchester, schedule any required inspections and keep all permits for your records. Test all AFCI and GFCI devices to ensure proper function, and clearly label your electrical panel circuits. Regularly check smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, especially in older homes, and test GFCI outlets monthly. Consider enrolling in local energy efficiency programs to maximize the benefits of your electrical upgrades.

Helpful?

In Winchester, if you notice frequent breaker trips, flickering lights, or outlets that feel warm, these are clear signs to contact a licensed electrician. If issues are tied to heating or cooling, consider consulting an HVAC specialist. For concerns near kitchens or bathrooms, both electrical and plumbing expertise may be needed. Given Winchester’s older homes, it’s wise to seek professional advice when in doubt.

Helpful?

For electrical projects in Winchester, choose copper wiring rated for New England’s temperature fluctuations and use weather-resistant materials for exterior work. Upgrading to a 200-amp panel is often recommended to support modern appliances and future energy upgrades. Always install AFCI and GFCI protection as required by code, and select energy-efficient fixtures to improve both safety and energy efficiency in your Winchester home.
