"Tim was able to fit me into a busy schedule and complete the project before I had to go out of town. The pad was tucked into a corner on a slope next to the house, all to the required specs, and looks great."

"Everything went very well.  Karl is a real pro, and takes the time to make sure things are done to a very high standard.  I believe that I received an excellent value!
Karl kept me in the loop on progress, and the crew was careful in my yard.  After the scaffolding was removed, you would hardly know they were there, if it weren't for the nice chimney work completed!!

"Repair sinking deck,Dave scheduled an appointment within 2 days gave me a verbal quote and a written quote the next day. We scheduled the project for 2 weeks out to begin but weather delayed it one week. Josh and Mike arrived to start the project very professional and social. Answered all my wife's questions and completed the job in the 3 days that were quoted. After inspecting the job found a loose step called Dave and he had it fastened that afternoon. Excellent job ,prompt response to phone calls and friendly knowledgeable workers."

"They did a very good job on the cleaning. Showed up on time and got it done quickly. They kind be hard to get a hold of and actually showed up twice. Not a huge deal in the end; the chimney got cleaned and the price was great!"

"I originally purchased this deal to have someone come into a rental property of mine that I was going to renovate. Unfortunately I was unable to use it due to tenants moving in earlier than expected. Talking to a Customer Service Rep, she mentioned I would be able to request a refund because I did not use this Deal. This company did nothing wrong, it was just bad timing and I thought I was stuck, but hopefully you will consider the refund request. Thank You, Marc Stridde"

Glass Block questions, answered by experts

New glass costs anywhere from $3 to $100 per square foot. More specifically, tempered and insulated glass—a common option for sliding glass doors—costs between $10 and $14 per square foot.

Most installations take 1-3 days, depending on the number of blocks and customization requirements.

Glass block mortar is the best choice for glass block window units. It is specifically formulated for glass block window installation. Glass block mortar is usually a mixture of Portland cement, sand, and special chemicals. It is a white mortar that is applicable inside and outside your home. Do not use regular tile mortar because it may not have the binding strength and flexibility required for glass block windows.

Glass block windows aren’t fire hazards; fire-rated glass block windows can increase your home’s fire safety. Modern glass blocks are made with materials that can resist high temperatures and prevent fire spread. Most offer a 45-minute fire rating, while some increase it to two hours. Compared to the typical 20 to 90 minute rating for a double-pane window, glass block can increase your home’s safety in the event of a fire.

Glass block installation can be relatively expensive due to the range of material costs and the labor time to assemble this type of specialty window. The process proceeds slowly as the glass does not absorb moisture from mortar and silicone caulk takes longer to harden, leaving spacers to hold up the structure until the caulk or mortar begins to cure. Plus, if your current windows have structural issues or damage, you’ll need to repair them before beginning the project, increasing your bottom line.
