"We had met Colin at the Home Show, was responsive immediately and gave excellent suggestions as to how to lay out patio.
I was amazed at how quickly and professionally the job was done. I worked hard last year to just get an estimate from several other companies.
Excellent work and completed job looks great, I couldn't be happier, we will definitely use in the future.

"The project went as planned- on time and on budget. They were quick to quote and had a pre-construction meeting which was great for what I considered a smaller project. They are very busy but were able to to do the job in the time they proposed. Very careful about details and making sure the area was prepped properly before pouring. The finished concrete looks great and the follow up was very good. Some companies didn't even respond to a quote request or never called back so I appreciate Indianapolis Concrete taking the time to make sure we were pleased."

"These guys are wonderful. They even answered some questions unrelated to the work I hired them for. I totally recommend them for your concrete/masonry needs. I hired them to do some tuck pointing and mold removal on my rental property. They did an amazing job, the guys were courteous and respectful, and the price definitely made me happy!"

"Was able to get quote for replacing a concrete step and walkway based on cell phone photos and a few measurements. Bid came in $500 below the others. Project manager (Chris) keep me in the loop about delays, but the work crew still came in the following Monday and got the job done in one day, and also cleared some brush without extra charge. All exchanges were professional and efficient, brief on words but big on action. Concrete repairs are expensive but I was very happy with the experience and outcome."

"You couldn't ask for a better professional.  During Mick's site visit, he quickly and correctly assessed a downspout disconnected from its buried drain line, as well as site grading that sloped toward the house/basement.  Ponding pressure had caused heavy rains to seep through cracks in the concrete block mortar joints and into our furnace room in the basement.

Mick explained the problem clearly, what he could do, and also suggested that we first try to fix the problem ourselves (he even explained how), with the understanding that if it didn't work, we hadn't wasted much money.  We took Mick's advice and dug out the area, sealed the concrete block and reconnected the downspout.  In the months following, we haven't seen a drop of water get through.

I highly recommend English Excavating for Mick's responsiveness, professionalism, ethics and placing his customer's financial situation above making a quick buck.  Even though we didn't use his company this time, if we ever need similar work done, Mick will be our first call.

"I recently hired Indiana Foundation to make repairs on my house. Andrew P and Dustin W showed up on time, were very processional, polite and explained to me what the project entailed. I would recommend them to others who need to have foundation work done on their homes"

Masonry questions, answered by experts

Yes, limewash on brick can accumulate dust over time. Its porous nature can attract dust particles, especially in environments with high levels of dust or dirt. Additionally, if the limewash surface is left unsealed, it may be more prone to collecting dust. Additionally, incorrectly applied limewash will generate dust. Causes include applying it too thickly instead of thin layers and not allowing enough drying time between layers. Regular maintenance, such as gentle cleaning or dusting, can help mitigate dusty issues.

Yes, depending on the type of pavers you have, you may need a specific type of sealant. For example, concrete pavers will bond differently than clay pavers or faux stone pavers and will demand a different type of sealer. If you’re unsure of the material and what type of sealant you need, you can contact the company that laid your pavers down for you.

In most cases, painting your brick house is a fine idea that can open up new aesthetic possibilities. However, the paint can slightly shorten the life span of brick, especially if moisture gets trapped underneath the paint layer. Once you paint, you’ll have to keep up with maintenance to avoid flaking and blisters.

You may not need a hammer drill if you’re planning on drilling one or two very small diameter holes in brick. For holes with a diameter of 3/16-inch or less, a regular drill with a masonry bit can do the job. However, the bit will heat up quickly, and the process will take significantly longer than with a hammer drill. Prepare to cool your drill bit down in a bucket of water more often.

Costs depend on material type, labor, chimney requirements, and structural reinforcements.
