"Project went well. Kathy got me a written estimate right away with options. Spent $140 to have lawn aerated. They notified me 48 hours in advance as I requested before the service and the person arrived Friday morning was very polite and easy to talk to. Followed my requests to do only certain sections of my lawn (no to the dog area). I hope to do more busy with them in the future."

"I love Sunblest! They are constantly working to improve their website and experience for their customers digitally. But the most important part is that your lawn will look AMAZING and their service is super nice and easy to work with. I picked which of my neighbors had the best lawn and waited for their next treatment tag to figure out who did their lawn care... and it was Sunblest! The rest is history."

"This company was great. Initially, the sod they put in on part of the yard was not good & they immediately replaced with great sod. We were very happy with the service."

"Michael and his team from Greenway did an outstanding job cleaning up the front of my property just before the holidays (my regular yard person had closed for the season). Several maples had shed leaves late in the season. He was efficient, timely, and left the property immaculate. Thanks so much Michael! I highly recommend Greenway."

"My first season with ExperiGreen just concluded. I am quite satisfied for the most part. The only downside would be that on a couple of occasions the technician showed up with no advance notice. I need to know ahead of time, so that I can prepare the yard (mow, rake, etc.). The most important characteristic of note though is the result. My yard was in bad shape after several years of inferior service from TruGreen. One season with ExperiGreen brought my yard back to good health quickly. The ExperiGreen technicians are thorough. With TruGreen, it was common to see a technician treat about a third of the yard and leave. After that experience, I watched the ExperiGreen techs at work. They treat every square foot of the yard, leaving no part untouched. I will very likely renew with this company for another season."

Lawns questions, answered by experts

Trees that provide a habitat to bats and an abundance of bugs—their main food source—will attract bats to your yard. Because the North American landscape has changed so much in recent years, bats have a harder time finding trees with cavities to shelter in. If your yard has a dead or dying tree with a lot of sun exposure, bats will likely be drawn to it because trees with those features are less common.

The pros are the precise treatments, such as aeration and fertilization, which protect and prepare your lawn for thriving warmer months.

Don’t pick up dirt after aerating. Even though it's tempting because soil cores are incredibly unsightly, these cores and the dirt they leave behind are ecologically important. This is what keeps your grass looking beautiful and growing healthily. The soil cores need two to three weeks to decompose, but you can swat them with a rake if their natural shape bothers you.

In the fall, you should aerate the soil, overseed the bare spots, kill weeds, mow the lawn low, and rake your leaves. By boosting your lawn’s health in the fall, your grass will be stronger throughout the winter and come back healthier in the spring. You should also trim your perennials so that they withstand the winter and are ready for new growth in the spring.

While a river may seem safer than the street, blowing leaves into the water can cause a lot of problems. Leaves can alter the local ecosystem, encourage bad algae growth and block narrow waterways. In large numbers, leaf debris can lead to fish death events in nearby bays or lakes and require expensive dredging to address. That’s why many cities also ban blowing leaves into water.
