Northside Glass & Mirror

Initial install went well, however after a few weeks the mirror surface began to flake off. They were very responsive in correcting it. The issue is that for some reason the installers replacing the mirror decided to right justify the mirror in the space instead centering it like the one they removed. So far I've been unable to get someone on the phone that can help me correct this. Beware, if you run into issues post install they may not be very responsive to your messages they'll avoid you by 'being on break' or pass you off to "talk to another person to get the problem addressed" where you'll have to start all over.

They were punctual and seemed to be a fair price. The person they sent out to give us a quote told us that we needed a custom glass bc he didn't want to drill into the glass shower tiles, so that is what we order. When they got the glass in, they came to install and drill into the glass tile and cracked it. They also put a puncture mark on the new celing. When they got done installing, they pretty much left without explaining or doing a walkthrough with us. We didn't see the issues until later. People were nice but i will they would have told us about the issues

Great. Their communication with me was great. They kept me very up to date. There was one delay, but that was due to the very cold weather and it only pushed the work back 2 days. Since it was so cold on the installation day I was afraid the house temperature would be baldly affected. But they had the old ones out and new ones in so quickly I barely noticed. I will definitely hire them again.

I had them give me an estimate for a custom octagon shaped window which had become fogged. They gave me an estimate. I then called to tell them that a second rectangular window which had also become fogged. They came back out to measure and give me a second estimate, combining it with the first estimate. It took two weeks for them to get the octagon window and then they installed both. The octagon window required additional caulking around the custom wood frame, which they included. They did a great job, all looks great and everyone I dealt with was pleasant, helpful and professional

This was done in the best professional way. From initial meeting, to getting a quote, to installation all went well. Highly pleased and highly recommend.

I gave them a size mirror that I wanted cut and they did it for a reasonable price. They told me how to fix it to the wall. It was frameless. I broke the first one, so they had to cut me another one, which he included the correct stuff for me to use to hang it for free. They were very helpful. Great customer service. The first time I did not follow their instructions. They were very nice.

We experienced a broken glass umbrella-table top in our pool area.  I found Northside Glass and Mirror in the Angie's List website and compared their price to replace the top to other providers.  Northside was more convenient to our home and the price was competitive.  I left the rim of the table at the business, paid the fee, and they ordered the glass.  In just a few days' time the glass had been received and the new piece installed in the rim.  The top fit perfectly, but I had some trouble reassembling the whole table.  The business put everything back together for us without an extra charge, which I thought was exceptional service.  I recommend them without reservation.

I had an attempted break in at my home over a weekend and called Northside Glass right away the following Monday, to replace the broken glass in on my front door. They were able to come out that week to replace the glass. Not only was it very timely and affordable, both the estimator and the installer were very polite and professional. Even cleaned up the mess when done with the job. Seamless. Will definitely use them in the future!

I am satisfied with the work that was performed and will use their services again.

Our master bath was remodeled by Claghorn Flooring, including new tile in the shower. With our approval, Claghorn contracted with Northside Glass to install a frameless shower door. The door can't be measured until the tile work is completed, and we were butting up against Christmas. But Matt, aware that I was expecting a bunch of people at Christmas and, frankly, wanted to show off the finished job, went above and beyond and was able to measure for the door, get it manufactured and install it all by Dec. 23. The door is beautiful and, because it is specially treated, will stay that way. We were very pleased with Northside Glass and highly recommend the company.

Smaller shower project (semi-frameless shower) - installed backwards and did not provide a shower knob on correct side of shower.  Rep (Tim Jr) - very defensive, arguementative regarding correcting.  Actually told me they'd come and remove entire project and remove my doors.  Only required a cheap and easy standard door pull as the most simple solution but argued with me that I should locate the fix. 
Larger shower (master, frameless shower):  heavy doors pulling the solid surface away from wall.  Was told that it was the solid surface contractor's problem and that it was the integrity of his product that was the problem.  Said they would not come and look at even thought they had previously communicated they would come on a joint visit with solid surface contractor.  PS - I am still waiting on my original shower knob to be installed.
Bigger issue:  service related - horrible attitude by Tim Murphy Jr - smart mouth, bad attitude, unwilling to listen, very defensive.  Also he will not return phone calls (left 5 messages over the course of a month).  I finally emailed and called for the owner Tim Sr - never had a return phone call or response from anyone at the company.  Only got a hold of Tim today (June 25, 2015) after a month of no calls, and only because he happened to answer the phone.
Tim told me today that I am not his customer and he will not schedule any work with me directly, even though they didn't hesitate to call me directly for payment prior to order/ glass doors being started (required 1/2 of cost when I approved the order bid), and collected the final payment by phone by calling me directly.
I've been in involved in 3 rehab projects and WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN, NOR RECOMMEND.  Never been treated so rudely by someone I'm paying to complete a job.
