"After talking with several plumbing companies about a water pipe that was leaking, Hudson was the only company that could come out that day. The other companies could not fit me into their schedule for at least four days. Hudson gave me a fixed repair estimate over the phone which I thought was maybe a little expensive but I was willing to pay it so that I would not have to shut off my water for four days. The repair took a little longer than they expected plus they replaced a shut off valve that was faulty yet did not charge more than the original fixed estimate. Everyone I talk to at the company from the receptionist to the estimator and the plumber that came to my house were very professional and friendly. I highly recommend this company!"

"They called right away, came out very quickly and although the job could not be completed same day, sent the same plumber back just a day later to complete the work! Everyone we spoke with was very kind and I would definitely hire this company again."
"One of the two questions I asked when buying our home, does basement have water issues? Well, first week living there it sure did after getting hit with a 100-year storm, it flooded pretty good. The water was coming up from under the floor. Our house was built in 1930 and did not have a sump pump. After 2-3 times of the basement flooding and working an additional 8-10 hours after working all day, my wife and I figured we need to do something about this. These guys came in took measurements, and were very clear on what the scope of work they were going to do. They explained everything and answered all our questions and concerns. The work was done in about a week. They did a great job cleaning up afterwards, and the option to have financing is nice since we did not have that money sitting around at the moment. During demo/install a water pipe had been damaged and was leaking/dripping very little. We called them about it and no questions asked they had hired a plumber to come to fix it. I liked how they asked for permission on certain things like location of the wells out in the yard and a few other things."

For plumbing projects in Bloomington, PEX piping is excellent for flexibility and freeze resistance, while copper is reliable for main supply lines. PVC or ABS are ideal for drain and waste lines. Installing a water softener helps counteract hard water issues. Choose insulated, high-efficiency water heaters and freeze-proof outdoor faucets. Sump pumps are recommended for basements to manage seasonal groundwater, and always use lead-free fixtures for safety.

In Bloomington, homeowners should consider the region’s hard water, which can cause mineral buildup in pipes and fixtures—making water softeners a wise investment. The local climate means pipe insulation is crucial to prevent winter freezing. Additionally, properties near flood-prone areas may need sump pumps or improved drainage. Always check if your planned project requires a permit to stay compliant with local regulations.
