"We recently had a leak in our crawlspace that did extensive damage to our home. Hope Plumbing not only was quick to arrive and stop the leak so we could restore water to the rest of our home but they also recommended a great restoration company to prevent further mold growth and ensure our home was clean and safe. Over the multi week project, Hope Plumbing was super accommodating as they worked alongside the restoration team, general contractors and the granite company. They also discovered an issue with our sump pump - something completely unrelated to what they had come for, but ultimately saved us from a more significant damage. We’re always quick to recommend them and they’ll always be our preferred plumber!"

"I had four different crews on my project, all were very pleasant to deal with and professional. Crew #1 inspected my old well and serviced it to determine if it was still usable. Crew #2 drilled the new well and set the casing. They were very concerned that it was located in the right place and that the mess could be contained. Crew #3 did the directional drilling to get the line to the house. A couple problems arose which they dealt with. Crew #4 installed the pump and plumbing and got us up and running. All knew their job and did it well."

"Bryce was such an honest and trustworthy plumber and I will always call them in the future for any plumbing services. He took his time and did a very thorough inspection of my water heater. He was honest in his assessment and his suggestions, which I truly appreciate! After calling several other companies, their prices are unbeatable. Thank you so much for your wonderful service!"

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

If your wall is wet, but there isn’t a leak, it’s likely a result of humidity and condensation from running a hot shower or cooking in the kitchen. The best way to remedy this issue is to run the fan in the bathroom when you’re showering or in the kitchen when you’re cooking. You can also use a dehumidifier to help remove moisture from the air.

National emergency plumbers usually have greater availability to address emergencies because they have more professionals at their disposal, but local plumbers may be located closer to your home and can arrive faster. We recommend contacting one or two local plumbers first to see how quickly they can arrive. Move ahead with the service if it’s within a reasonable time frame. If not, contact a national company to see if they can get out more quickly. National companies sometimes outsource work to third parties, which can often mean faster response times.

You should replace your toilet at least every 25 years. While toilets are pretty sturdy appliances, they don’t last forever. Even if you aren’t ready to invest in the cost of a bathroom remodel yet, just replacing your toilet will help freshen up your space and keep your bathroom functioning.

Pipes are connected in a bathroom by a 3/4-inch to 1-inch line running from your water meter into your home. The line then splits, with the hot water line going to your water heater and the cold water line running into your home. The cold water line leads to the 1/2-inch water supply lines for your home’s toilet, tub, and sink. The hot water line runs from the water heater to all sinks and baths.

Building codes don’t allow homeowners or businesses to run sewer pipes and water lines in the same trench for safety and environmental purposes. If the sewer line started leaking, it would risk contaminating the water supply to your house, which threatens the health of you and your family. These lines need to be in separate trenches and may need to be separated both horizontally by around 5 to 10 or more feet and vertically by 12 to 18 or more inches.
