"Had a bathtub taken out and converted to walk in shower unit. The quality seems top notch and installer was great. Installation was over 2-3 days but this was due to a bad snow storm in the area with hazardous roads that caused traffic accidents. The installer went out of his way to do everything he could to expedite it while maintaining a quality install, which I feel he accomplished. Only part I did not like was the hard sell approach of the sales person. Be prepared. Fortunately I had done my research on this company and am comfortable in my decision. Time will tell how well it holds up, but the warranty looks like a good lifetime one. Would definitely use them again."

"Two showers were installed. Carson and Reiniel did an outstanding job of removal of the two old showers. They removed the old bathtubs, and completely updated the plumbing installing two new bathroom showers. Carson and Reiniel teams were onetime and very professional. I have received wows from the neighbors after seeing the finished product. I am over the moon on the final result ."

"We are pleased with our bath remodel that included a new tub, tub surround and wainscot walls. There was one small problem with the walls due to the ceiling and walls not being plumb however they did go above and beyond by doing more than was was agreed upon by making plumbing improvements, installing a new lighted medicine cabinet and repairing a light fixture. They were very courteous and the installer even made a suggestion for a change that we agreed would be better."

"The crews were extraordinarily polite, friendly, efficient, and very energetic. They ran into a lot of underground water when digging the trench for the buckled wall repair, but were able to put in the necessary reinforcements from inside the basement extending out to the trenched area. We live in an area with a lot of underground springs and artesian water, and when they began work the dirt under the foundation and crawl space was just wet mud, and water poured in at 36 inches deep as they created an outlet for the water to be safely drained away from the house. The basement is completely dry and we have a back up sump pump. My basement is surrounded by a crawl space since it was added after the house was built. The sump pumps and dehumidifier are warrantied for 5 years and the waterproofing has a lifetime warranty. Our house had problems because the basement was added after the house was built, but Indiana Foundation was able to make the house safe, and completely dry and usable. Since we live on a hillside, we will be adding a French drain behind the house and garage, far enough away to not further damage any of the foundations, but at the natural flow of the hillside where water collects to run down hill or underground. If we go at least 36 inches deep, it should help reduce some of the water that flows into the house area. This was some advice given by the supervisor at Indiana Foundation. They don't install French drains any longer, as they don't carry away all water and don't carry a guarantee, but in our situation it will probably help and is something I will be contracting out in the near future. The French drain is similar to what farmers install in fields to drain away excess water to a creek or deep ditch. It isn't something we have to do, but it will put a lot less strain on the sump pumps and other equipment, and in case of a long term power outage, would likely save our other appliances too (furnace, water heater, walls, etc.). I love the battery back up pump and it has already been in use twice when we had two separate power outages from storms. The workmen from Indiana Foundation were delightful to have in my home, running in and out with loads of materials, cheerfully hammering the walls and floors to install their system. Second: My electrician was able to repair a line running to our garage after the water problem was resolved. Water poured in over the connections in the basement without our realizing it, and no electricity was live in the back room of the garage. New basement, New Electric, New Plumbing - we are very happy with the results!"

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Create a reliable seasonal routine to protect your plumbing. In the fall, insulate exposed pipes in unheated crawl spaces and drain exterior hose bibs to prevent winter freeze damage. During the spring thaw, test your sump pump to handle heavy IN rains and inspect basement floor drains. Schedule a septic system inspection in the summer when dry soil conditions allow straightforward access for local professionals.

Helpful?

Before scheduling plumbing work in Bloomfield, document whether you connect to the municipal system or rely on a private well and septic tank. Record the age and material of your pipes, especially in older homes with galvanized or lead lines. Locate your main shutoff valve and gather any recent water quality test results. Providing this information helps a licensed contractor prepare the right tools and materials.

Helpful?

Cosmetic plumbing upgrades, like swapping a bathroom faucet, involve straightforward fixture replacements. Functional projects, such as replacing corroded drain lines or fixing a failed water heater, require strict permits and licensed contractors. In older Bloomfield homes, cosmetic updates uncover hidden functional issues like deteriorated supply lines. Always treat functional repairs as urgent priorities to prevent sudden water damage and maintain a safe home environment.

Helpful?

Delaying plumbing repairs in Bloomfield increases the risk of severe damage. Winter freeze-thaw cycles easily burst exposed pipes in older crawl spaces. Unaddressed sewer leaks erode soil rapidly due to the local karst limestone geology. Postponing sump pump maintenance also leaves your basement vulnerable to spring flooding. Address minor leaks and insulation needs immediately to protect your home from extensive water damage and structural issues.

Helpful?

Homeowners consistently overlook the difficulty of accessing pipes in the shallow crawl spaces common in older IN properties. Planning for plumbing also requires testing well water for hardness and iron before installing new fixtures. Additionally, modifying drains or connecting to a rural septic system demands extensive site evaluations. Secure all necessary permits and hire licensed professionals to ensure your project meets local safety standards.
