He gave me two options: he can install a new one right away or I can buy a new one and he can come back to install. Since the one he has isn't what I like, I decided to go with second option. I really like the honesty and being given the options. The new pump was installed the next day by the same technician, who looks like having done it many times. Everything works perfectly afterward.
