"We just bought a house on a private well and started noticing rust stains and a foul odor right away. The house came with an old softener, but it didn't seem to be working anymore. We got a few quotes for a system that would treat well water and decided to use Chicago Water Pros. Their tech was on time, very professional and knowledgeable. The price was very reasonable compared to the other quotes that we got, and they had a way better warranty and money back guarantee than anyone else by far. We bought a tank for iron treatment and a softener. The guy that came out to test our water and do the quote was there for the installation and came back out to re-test the water and make sure everything was working properly a few days after the install as well. We couldn't be happier with the water and the great service and price that we got. I'd recommend them to anyone!"

"The awesomeness started within a couple hours of purchasing my deal. Matt reached out to clarify a misprint in the deal, and assure I still wanted to go through with the deal. He was able to to schedule me at a time that worked with my busy schedule.
Darryl and Mike arrived right on time, first thing in the morning. I had originally purchased a hot water tank replacement deal. During the old tank removal, it was discovered that my ejector pump was not working. The crew was equipped to replace that at a reasonable price as well. They worked quick and professionally and had all the work completed in a timely manner. They made sure to have tarps available to protect my floors when moving the tanks in and out. The crew had such pleasant personalities, and I could tell they enjoyed what they were doing.
I highly recommend M&E Plumbing for any work you may need!!

"I called two plumbers on a Monday and Maria at Essential Plumbing called me back right away. She said that she could have her plumber out that day, later in the evening to accommodate my work schedule. Fernando showed up right on time at 6:30pm and looked at the clogged disposal. He tried to run the rooter but it wouldn't snake through so he checked the pipes in the basement. He determined that the pipes had been replaced fairly recently but incorrectly, as it was perfectly even, when it should have been pitched to allow gravity to push the water and food down. He said he could come back Thursday to replace the two pipes for around $800. I also asked him to look at my shower that was clogged at the same time.
I got a quote the next day for $1080 for all of the work done, including Mondays visit and booked him for Weds. He arrived at 11am, worked til 3:30pm and it was all done quietly, cleanly and quickly. The pipes were totally jammed with food and needed replacement badly. Fernando explained very clearly what the issue was and what he had done to fix it. He was very courteous and considerate. He also unclogged the shower drain very quickly.
I would certainly call him in the future.

"They do plumbing but they also have a service where they will come out and check your furnace or your sump pump or things like that. With them, I don't have a big problem. They fall into that category that when they come out it is always something big, always like an upsell. They always come to check this or maybe you have a clog or need something routed out and they say you have to replace all this. They always have something more that you can go ahead and get and sometimes that just gets, you just want to get done what you need to get done.
I would get more estimates for work, I wouldn't trust their first opinion."

The cost to replace a septic tank is $7,350 for the average homeowner. This cost can range, however, from $470 to $22,500, depending on several factors. Your house size is a significant factor in the overall cost, but other things like material type impact the final price tag. For example, installing a new septic tank in a one-bedroom house typically costs $500 to $900, whereas installing a new septic tank in a five or six-bedroom home is generally $1,200 to $1,600.
Yes, most states require septic tank installers to have a license, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed septic tank pro could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
The cost of septic tank repair is $1,775 for the average homeowner. However, depending on a few elements, you might pay as little as $170 or as much as $6,100. Location, repair type, and tank material all determine the final cost. For example, replacing the septic tank filter can be as little as $200 to $300. However, repairing septic lines costs more, averaging around $1,500.
A septic tank can typically last 15 to 20 years on average, though your system's lifespan will vary depending on the type of septic system and the materials used. To help increase your septic tank's lifespan, schedule routine maintenance and do not flush items like cat litter, cigarette butts, or paper towels.
Repairing or replacing a septic tank is a job best left to a professional. Your septic tank is an essential part of your home, and if installed or repaired incorrectly, it could lead to significant problems. Things like polluted water, property damage, and health risks to your family could all happen as a result of an improper septic tank repair or installation.
