"I hired Frank from Small Jobs and he was extremely knowledgeable , friendly and efficient. He assembled an elliptical bike for me and did an amazing job! I spoke to several other handymen prior to speaking with Frank and they were extremely rude and arrogant. While speaking to Frank I knew he was the right person. His professionalism and demeanor sealed the deal."

"Robert is a thorough professional and we had a great experience working with him and his team. We had to get our entire 5 bedroom 4000sq ft single family home completely renovated, because our tenant destroyed the house. We had to get the entire wooden floors sanded and polished, carpets stripped and Kiltz treated and walls/ceilings painted. Robert completed all the work within 2 weeks and most importantly he did everything while me and my family were staying out of state in Philadelphia. After meeting Robert and speaking to him, I handed him the house keys, and we laid full trust in him. We instinctively knew that he is a thorough gentleman and a great professional and would get the complex job done on time. Robert kept sending me pictures of work completed each day and he started and finished his work with utmost precision and on time. His team subsequently remodeled our master bathroom and also helped with kitchen remodeling. You will not be disappointed with Robert and his team’s professionalism, workmanship and punctuality. His quote estimates and final pricing are fair and accurate. I thoroughly recommend him and his company for any handyman and house repair service. I will rate Robert A+++, since we got our house back fully restored, after being gutted by a nasty tenant. Loved working with Robert, Roger, Mike and Mark. Excellent team."

Small jobs welcome

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Abo Hand was fantastic! He was able to fit me into a very small window of time, and I really appreciated his promptness and flexibility. He works incredibly fast while still being thorough, clean, and organized—qualities that are hard to find. No matter what project I threw at him, whether it was assembling furniture, installing a bidet, or mounting a wall cabinet, he tackled each one confidently and without hesitation. He’s also very polite, professional, and easy to work with. If you’re looking for someone who is reliable, efficient, and takes pride in his work, I highly recommend Abo Hand. I would hire him again in a heartbeat!"

"He was amazing. He replaced my ceiling fan in the dining room, replaced my kitchen faucet and fixed my toilet that was not flushing correctly. I also added a few things that I needed done and he completed my list. Everything looks amazing and he was very neat and tidy. It’s really hard to find a good handyman and he is the best!"

Handyman Services questions, answered by experts

There are a few advantages to hiring a handyperson as a contractor, namely that they will likely charge less for their services since they don’t have as much overhead. A handyperson might also have more flexibility and be more involved in your specific home project, so you can communicate with one person instead of a subcontractor team.

After cutting Corian® to the right size, you may have to attach it to another piece of Corian®, either at a corner or another seam. One way to create the tightest seam is to place the two pieces of Corian® on a level surface at ⅜-inch apart. Run a router in between the two slabs to create an identical edge on both pieces. Then use the proper DuPont Joint Adhesive for your type of seam and countertop to join the Corian® together.

While handypeople do not need to be licensed in many places, you should only hire insured pros for any home improvement work. Your handyperson should have active liability coverage that protects them and you in the case of an error or accident. Furthermore, if they have employees on your property, they should also have workers’ compensation insurance. If you hire an individual or a company that is not insured and they damage your property, have an accident while on the job, or become injured on your property without insurance, you can be held financially liable.

Almost all houses require soffits. The exception is in houses where you know without a shadow of a doubt there is adequate airflow throughout the entire house including, and most importantly, the attic. Almost all modern homes have soffits installed whether you notice them or not because on most homes, the roof eave extends beyond the walls of the home, naturally creating soffits.

Yes, you can use a dremel tool to cut plexiglass. Follow the instructions under “How to Cut Plexiglass with a Saw,” and use a dremel tool with a 561 bit instead of a saw.
