"I hired Top Rail Fence for two separate projects this Spring. First I had them replace 3 broken posts in a non-traditional fence at the rear of my property. The posts had broken off just above ground and needed to be replaced in a way that the fence would be in the same line with the rest of the fence. They posts were not only anchored in concrete but also had concrete poured them from the neighbors patio. The second task was to replace a dilapidated fence on the south property line. This was done to our complete satisfaction Bot installers, Francisco and his crew ands Mike (and son) did excellent work and followed our particular directions on how we wanted the project to look at completion to our complete satisfaction. The installers were professional, courteous and respectful of our property. They also cleaned up the site when they were finished. We are completely satisfied with Top Line Fence and recommend them highly to anyone needing fencing projects done. 5 Stars"

"Troy did a great job repairing our fence. He has good prices, is dependable and does quality work. He reused as much fencing as he could to keep the coat down."

"Tom and Josh Turney did an amazing job for us! They removed our old cedar fence and replaced it with a beautiful new cedar fence with solid, and sturdy black steel fence posts. This fence will not only last much longer than our old fence with wooden posts but it is a beauty to look at. We will be enjoying our backyard for many years to come."

"The team at Fence Doctor responded quickly to my request, and had a technician out within 2 days and the job completed same day. A section of our fence was knocked over during a wind storm, and they were able to re-use the undamaged materials to keep costs low, and the fence is better than it was before. They installed metal posts, replacing the wood that failed, which should last for a long time. Great people, great work!"

Fencing questions, answered by experts

Homeowners in Emmett should inspect fencing each spring for winter-related shifting, loose posts, and debris buildup. In summer, look for sun fading, warping, and pest activity, especially on wood fences. Fall is ideal for applying sealants and tightening hardware before windy conditions arrive. During winter, monitor for snow or ice accumulation and ensure gates remain functional despite freezing. This routine helps your fence withstand Emmett’s changing seasons.

Helpful?

Fencing in Emmett often faces challenges from strong winds, alkaline soils, and agricultural dust. Wood fences should be sealed or stained each year to prevent sun damage and moisture absorption. Vinyl fencing benefits from regular washing to remove dust and prevent cracking during freeze-thaw cycles. Metal fencing needs periodic rust checks, especially near irrigation. Inspect posts for shifting after winter, and clear debris to maintain fence stability and appearance.

Helpful?

When hiring fencing professionals in Emmett, prioritize those with experience handling local clay soils and high wind exposure. Make sure they understand property boundary verification and are familiar with rural fencing for livestock or agricultural purposes. Check if they coordinate with irrigation layouts and know about HOA guidelines in newer neighborhoods. A contractor’s familiarity with Emmett’s weather patterns and common fencing materials is also crucial for a durable installation.

Helpful?

Combining fencing with other outdoor projects in Emmett is a practical way to reduce disruption and streamline work. Coordinate fencing with landscaping, sprinkler system installation, or outdoor lighting to minimize repeated excavation. If adding a patio or driveway, aligning these upgrades can simplify permitting and site preparation. Many local contractors offer bundled services, making project management easier and often more efficient than hiring separate specialists.

Helpful?

For fencing projects in Emmett, knowing your property’s soil type, drainage patterns, and existing irrigation systems is vital. Accurate property boundaries prevent disputes, while awareness of wind exposure and mature landscaping helps with material selection. Always locate underground utilities and septic systems before digging. Clarify your fence’s main purpose—privacy, containment, or decorative—since this shapes design and compliance with any neighborhood covenants.
