"Eric did a great job while giving me my quote. He was very knowledgeable and found some issues with my siding that I hadnt noticed yet. He showed me the product that DaBella was offering and the differences in other siding materials. He worked very hard to make the siding replacement quote affordable and fit all of our needs. I cannot wait to get the new siding."
"Jake and his StraightLine Design family did a full exterior remodel on our North End Boise home. The result is an amazing 1910 home that has been restored to near-original condition. StraightLine did the roof, gutters, siding, and windows. They sourced period appropriate wood siding and shingles and we could not be happier with the project. Jake at StraightLine is incredibly responsive 24/7 and handled all challenges with utmost professionalism and attention to detail. Honestly, the StraightLine team is 5-star and I highly recommend them for any project!"
"This is a difficult review to write. To be totally honest, read all the reviews. There are many reviews stating the poor communication. I completely agree with that statement. It was a long process. We asked for the bid and they came right out. It went downhill from there. It seems the salesman and the production manager disagreed on the work needing done and the overall cost. So several more times, people came out to look at what needed done. After all of that was settled, which took a lot of emails and phone calls to get resolved, they set a date. The installer came out to see what needed done. He didn’t know what was needed to complete the job and didn’t have any material on hand. Once he looked at it and checked on parts, he returned the following week. By this time, it’s the end of June. However, the work accomplished was outstanding! It was a near perfect match of my existing siding and looked perfect. They really do great work! It’s just that you need to be ready for it to take a long time and little communication with everyone involved. I talked to the owner and we discussed the situation and I was quickly offered an acceptable resolution to the aggravating project. So, in closing, it was a long and frustrating project, but very happy with the workmanship."
"Everything was fast and professional, wood siding looks exactly like I wanted to, professionals was asking properly about how I want it to look, and also giving me advice how can I make it cheaper and more beautiful, feels like they was doing it for themselves, not for a client, I will go to them again, if I need one more siding"

"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

Different types of siding provide unique aesthetic and structural features, with each material commanding its own cost. Availability of materials and shipping costs also factors largely into the cost.
The common types of siding materials include:
Stucco: $7–$9 per square foot
Wood: $1–$15 per square foot
Engineered wood: $1–$6 per square foot
Aluminum: $3–$6 per square foot
Fiber cement: $5–$14 per square foot
Brick: $10–$20 per square foot
Brick veneer: $3–$10 per square foot
Stone: $7–$30 per square foot
Stone veneer: $5–$11 per square foot
For the materials alone, a square of siding costs an average of $600, but prices can range from $100 to $3,000, depending on the material. Vinyl siding costs toward the lower end of that range, while real brick or stone siding costs closer to the higher end. Keep in mind that many boxes of siding contain two squares, enough to cover 200 square feet, so you may need to double your cost if you only need one square.
While insulated vinyl siding has one of the highest R-values out there, there are a few alternatives worth considering. When paired with a layer of insulation, manufactured stone veneer has an R-value of 4.5. Composite siding also provides good insulation with an R-value of 2 to 4.
Clapboard siding is traditionally made of wood, and is one of the most common types of wood siding in North America. When people talk about wood siding, they are usually talking about clapboard siding. However, not all wood siding is in the clapboard style: It can be tongue-and-groove, shake, and other designs. Also, clapboard siding can sometimes be made of different materials, like vinyl or fiber cement, so the terms are not interchangeable.
Regularly clean with mild detergent, inspect for cracks, and replace damaged sections as needed.
