"This work was performed in Groveland, FL, 34736. Capstone Insulation was great. The VP came out, went through the attic, and described the work to be done. This included thermal imaging to find air transfer locations, air sealing between the attic and living spaces, installing baffles over the inside soffit vents, installing and air sealing recessed lighting covers (for fire safety), installing new insulation, and pre- and post-insulation air flow testing. The installation crew was very competent and friendly. They performed the initial air flow test and all the pre-insulation work on day 1. They came back the next day to install the insulation and perform the final air flow test. The VP provided me with a video of the Day 1 work and a video of the final outcome. All of this work was done at a price point that I thought was reasonable (about $2/sq. ft.)."

Things like the quality of blown insulation varies and cheap blown insulation like sold at Do It Yourself stores is not the same as top quality insulation. I got the spray on Radiant barrier applied to the roof sheathing and enough blown insulation added on top of the existing insulation to add R30 to what was already there. It has been two days since installation and I can tell that my AC unit does not work as hard to keep the house cool. Also the swing in temperatures at night have decreased. Looking forward to seeing how much lower my utilities will be. JAM insulation is highly recommended. James is the owner and he knows his stuff."

In addition, my pantry and closets would always feel humid and warmer than the rest of the house. He came out and diagnosed the problem in an honest, professional manner: it turns out the builder of my house never did the air sealing under the attic insulation, so he took care of that. I also had him do wall-injected insulation on the wall that is hit by the sun all day, as well as add more attic insulation for energy efficiency. Dennis is responsive, knowledgeable, and won't sell you stuff you don't need. I'll be recommending him to neighbors who have houses built by the same builder, and who probably have the same problem I did."
