I supplied the fan switches and there were existing rocker switches already in place but EACH wall switch replacement cost me $175.00 for only about 5 minutes each - a ridiculous amount of money but I just didn't want to screw up the job so I paid. Yes I was told by the installer ahead of doing the work but I felt that he was there and I wanted the entire job done so I went ahead with it but I do feel the price to do that portion of the job was totally out of line with what the actual work entailed. Existing fan outlets were also already in the ceiling so no running of wires was involved in any part of this job. The last time I had fans and switches installed with the same amount of work, I paid less than $600.00 also done by a licensed electrician only 2 counties north of here."
