Our A/C went out at 10pm and I made one phone call to Service Star they diagnosed the issue over the phone and told me what I needed to do in order to have our unit run efficiently overnight. Our coil was leaking and unit was frozen. Since our unit was 10 years old we opted to replace the entire unit including exterior and interior with new WiFi digital thermostat. "It ended up we needed a new thermostat. The tech could have very easily convinced us that the blower motor had failed and required more major service as he first suspected. This was the 2nd service call on this unit in 3 months with same symptoms. I'm certain the thermostat was the problem during that first service as well since the tenant stated the main cover of the thermostat had fallen off the day before and the service tech "tweaked" the connectors on the thermostat AFTER doing his $350 service job on the main unit. The unit works very well so far, cools very well and is amazingly quiet.  I was impressed with all four of the men who represented Amtek.  I would also like to mention that about a week after the unit was installed I was solicited by the same company to purchase a new unit.
