"I can't say enough good things about this company. They were half the price of anyone else, and they knew it. Professional all the way. They came when they said they would and did a great job. Even after the installation of the new drain field they were right there to offer advice. They did not try to get me to spend any more than I had to. Honest, professional, prompt, and great work. Great company."

"I can't recommend Strait Flush Plumbing enough. They could not have been better. They were very quick to respond to my Angi's List job request to address my broken and leaking water heater. They were very friendly and personable before, during, and after the job. I know next to nothing about plumbing and they were helpful and patient in answering my questions. Quote was spot on for the job with no surprise costs tacked on at the end."

"I hired American Bath & Shower of South FL because I wanted to modernize my dingy and dark outdated 80's bathroom and shower. They surpassed my expectations and completely TRANSFORMED my bathroom into a modern masterpiece that I'm incredibly proud of. The shower conversion and the addition of a glass sliding barn door look truly amazing and the surrounding solid surface wall conversion came out so much better than I could have hoped for. The team did everything by the books and they were fully equipped to handle the plumbing and construction portions of the project. They were able to answer my many questions and kept in constant communication throughout the entirety of the project. I can't state enough how satisfied I am with the quality of the product and the overall the experience! I have recommended to multiple friends and would HIGHLY recommend to anyone that is looking to update their bathroom."

Customers say: True professional

"Mike and his sons were wonderful to work with. They are the consummate professionals. They were punctual, reliable and responsive to any unanticipated change in plans. In addition, their partner Regina who did the design work was extremely helpful in terms of helping us create beautiful and functional new bathrooms. Mike oversaw every subcontractor that was used. If he wasn't there when they were there, he called to make sure they arrived on time and that we were satisfied with the work after they left. It is obvious that he and "his team" always want to deliver quality service for a reasonable price. We will not hesitate to refer him to our friends and neighbors or have him do other work within our own condo!"

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

You could be smelling sewer gas in your kitchen because of a dry P-trap, clogged vent pipe, or leaking plumbing seals. If you smell a rotten egg odor, check your sink’s P-trap and plumbing connections first. A clogged or damaged vent pipe can trap sewer gas and push it back into your kitchen through the plumbing pipes. Loose or deteriorated seals around drainpipes can also allow sewer gas to leak out. If you can’t find the source, call a local plumber for expert help.

A plumbing emergency is a problem that threatens to severely damage your home or put your family at risk if not addressed immediately. If leaving the issue until regular business hours will cause more damage, it's an emergency. Examples include burst pipes, major leaks, significant drain clogs, a lack of hot water, a suspected gas leak, an out-of-control water heater, or a sewer line backup forcing gases into your home. Many home insurance policies will cover sudden and unexpected plumbing emergencies, provided they are not caused by homeowner negligence.

The biggest sign that your flange leaks is if you notice water at the base of the toilet. The cause is likely due to a poor flange installation, so you might have issues with loose bolts, an uneven flange, or a cracked plastic flange. Add a deteriorating wax seal to this, and you have a recipe for disaster. The best solution is to shut off the water valve, replace the toilet flange, and seal it with a new wax ring.

Yes, continuing to flush a clogged toilet is not likely to break up the clog. Instead, it will continue to put pressure on the clog while filling the bowl with more water, which can potentially cause the toilet to overflow—leading to an even bigger mess. Rather than repeatedly flushing, use a toilet plunger or plumber’s snake to dislodge the clog.

It is possible for a slab leak to cause a sinkhole, but it would have to be a particularly serious leak. A slab leak causes the land under your home to erode and if there is enough movement depressions will form in the ground, potentially causing a sinkhole.
