"I first started using them 2 to 3 years ago for lawn maintenance because I had an outfit I was very dissatisfied with, they lied to me and overcharged me. They come every month and a half. It is fine. They control the weeds, the insects, all of the lawn insects. I had some Lugustrom trees that are really not appropriate. The location was a little too moist. The humidity where I put them turned out to be a bad place. Lugustrom trees don't like moisture. I was having trouble with fungus. They would spray it. They recommended I changed them to hedges. That recommendation turned out good. Anytime I had some lawn fungus, they would come out and make a free visit to treat the fungus. You get lawn fungus from time to time. I have a guy that cuts my grass and the blades on his mower could have the fungus on it. He could bring that in from somewhere else, or it could be the lawn was a little too wet or something."

"So pleased to find this company and their natural non-toxic pest control strategies.  Other natural pest control companies I contacted did not serve my area of South Miami-Dade.  Mark from Xact explained the products they use and as a Health Coach I am familiar with the products and happy that I do not need to worry about impact on our family's health or that of our dog.  The cost is for an annual contract for quarterly service plus the special lawn treatment they did for ticks.  They place pest control products in the outlets and switch plates as well as outside around the perimeter of the house.  After 10 days, we have not seen one palmetto bug (saw at least one daily before) and all the ants we are seeing are dead.  They have been extremely responsive to calls/questions, and have been prompt or early to appointments each time.  They have even done some creative problem-solving with us to address a unique issue.

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

Skunks spray as a defense mechanism to ward off predators. The active ingredient in their sulfurous, oily musk is n-butyl mercaptan, which evaporates into a powerful and smelly gas. Once the spray hits the skunk’s target, the stench can linger for days, and water and common cleaning kits aren’t enough to wash it away.

If you happen upon a skunk in your yard, try to back away slowly to reduce the chance of them aiming at you. Encouragingly, they don’t use their weapon casually, as it can take up to 10 days for their life-saving weaponry to refill. Paw stamping, hissing, lifting their tail, and arching their back are early signs they feel trapped or under threat and that it’s time to make a careful retreat.

A rodent infestation often has a distinctive, unpleasant smell. The most common odor is a strong, musky scent, similar to stale ammonia, which comes from mouse urine. As the infestation grows, the smell can become more intense. You might also notice a foul, decomposing odor if mice or rats die inside the walls or hidden areas. This combination of smells is a clear sign of a rodent problem and should prompt immediate action to address the infestation.

No, mulch itself does not necessarily attract termites even though it’s usually made of shredded wood. Some types of mulch like cedar or cypress resist termites because they’re toxic or unappetizing to the wood munchers. However, when the mulch is deep enough, say three inches or more, it creates a perfect habitat for insects of all kinds to build nests.

Scorpions cannot climb smooth, non-porous surfaces because their pincers and feet are unable to get a grip. This includes materials like clean glass, polished metal, and slick plastic. While they are excellent climbers on rough or textured surfaces like wood, brick, or stucco, their inability to scale smooth vertical surfaces is why glass jars and other slick containers are effective for trapping them or creating barriers.

Rubber mulch doesn’t attract mice. Unlike organic mulches, which can serve as food and nesting material for mice, rubber mulch has no nutritional value or comfortable nesting spots, making it less appealing to rodents.
