"I was very happy with response from Eddis. He gave me a quote upfront and followed it up with an invoice via email. I paid him half at the beginning and another half when he came back to install the window. He was very professional and respectful of my house. I will definitely use A.R. Glass again if I have window repair needs."

"Jose and team member washed my townhome windows inside & outside including the blinds. I never opened my blinds or curtains in the past. Now my blinds are opened because the windows are crystal clear. I am no longer looking out of dirty windows and I am incredibly happy about the job that JG Windows did for me!"

"It's always a relief when you find a contractor who cares about the quality of their work. That is Mr. Leal. I hired him to rehang our exterior french doors that were poorly installed. It can be very difficult to find help for for small jobs, but Mr. Leal agreed. Needless to say, the doors now function perfectly. I was impressed for following reasons. His team was very communicative. My initial call was returned within an hour or two and he was scheduled to see me the next day. He and his colleague took care of my home. Not only did they fix the doors, but they were obviously very careful when doing so. They even vacuumed while sanding the doors. No trace was left of their work except for the perfectly swinging doors. Honestly, I think care for another's home is as important as one's ability to do the work. My strong impression is Mr. Leal cares that his work is well done. Hire him."

"Ralph sold us 17 windows and a front door. Omar and his crew came out at 10:30 am, and finished everything up and cleaned, and were out of here by 6 pm. The crew worked quickly and efficiently , were pleasant, and courteous. Omar's final walk through was quick, thorough, and friendly. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we can't wait for future dealings with this company."

"One task was cutting and trimming a new rug and rolling out into room. They
did say they were not carpet installers. But they did a great job. They
cut and trimmed and laid carpeting out perfectly.
Other tasks were installing shelving in the kitchen and bath. Again, they did a
great job. We discussed placement of shelves, they made a couple helpful
suggestions, and then did the job.
When they were finished they cleaned up any mess and moved items that
had been moved back into place.
I will definitely hire them again.

"The technician, Fredy Aguilar, did great work installing a new sliding closet door and repairing another closet door. The new closet door looks and works great and the old door works better than it did we when moved into our house."

"Presidential Exteriors were by far the most professional contractors I have ever worked with. Some people might not like the fact that they want all decision makers present when they come over, but this is so they don’t waste time coming out again. At first, we thought the price was high but after the job was completed, we felt like we got every bit of what we paid for, if not more. Almost every inch of the exterior of our house (except windows and doors but including gutters and downspouts) were replaced and our 1968 built house now looks brand new. We contracted for a new roof (new shingles and board replacement) for the house and horse barn. We also had a large skylight replaced. This was a big job and Felix and his roofing team were great. They worked from sunrise until well after dark and completed everything in two days even though my roof had some issues. Michael and his team installed Hardie Board siding on the entire house. This was a huge job and the finished product looks incredible, especially the detail work like the trim and capping around windows and doors, and the new soffit and fascia under and on the roof overhang. Michael personally bent all the aluminum himself and took great pride in his work. We never expected the finished product to look so good. I work from my house so I was concerned about how that would work out, but everyone was so friendly and respectful that it was never an issue. Jake the project manager, Eva the project coordinator and the Operations Department were also great to work with. Jake did the final inspection with me, coordinated the removal of excess materials and set up some minor touch up work that needed to be done. This is an extremely well managed company and I highly recommend them for any exterior work."

"They did a terrific job replacing our basement door. It looks very professional and they does special care not to let any cicadas into the house during this current infestation. We are now considering having them replace a number of our windows based upon what a great job they did. A++"

Window Door Contractors questions, answered by experts

In Washington, hidden costs during screen repair may include fees for parking in busy neighborhoods, charges for custom-sized screens, or extra costs for disposing of old frames. If your home is in a historic district, there may be compliance requirements. Older properties could also need lead-safe work practices, so ask your screen repair professional about these potential factors before starting.

Helpful?

DC homes with double-hung or casement windows, especially those built within the last 20 years, are often ideal for screen repair. If your screens have minor tears, loose mesh, or slightly bent frames, repair is usually practical. Historic rowhouses benefit from repairs that preserve original features, but if you notice severe rust or warped frames, replacement may be the better choice.

Helpful?

In DC, combining screen repair with services like window cleaning, storm door installation, or weatherstripping can streamline your home maintenance and reduce repeat visits. For rowhouses or historic homes, consider scheduling porch or patio screen upgrades at the same time. This approach not only saves time but can help ensure all related repairs are coordinated for better long-term results.

Helpful?

In Washington, be wary of screen repair professionals who offer vague or incomplete estimates, avoid discussing mesh or frame materials, or refuse to provide proof of insurance. Watch for high-pressure tactics like demanding full payment upfront or pushing door-to-door deals. Trustworthy pros in Washington will clearly outline materials, explain their process, and provide a detailed, written quote for your review.

Helpful?

In Washington, on-site screen repair for a few windows typically takes under an hour, while a full home may require up to four hours. If your screens need to be taken to a shop—common for custom or historic frames—expect a turnaround of three to five business days. During spring, higher demand and unpredictable weather can extend project timelines slightly.
