Austin - 512.401.6683 Houston - 832.956.1999 Dallas - 469.422.6226 Denver, CO - 720.575.6320. Square Cow Moovers is a household goods moving company specializing in local and long distance moves for both residential and commercial clients. Additional DBA - Square Cow Movers.

"Worst moving experience I have ever had! I was in the hospital for an organ transplant, but my lease was ending and i had to move. I contacted Square Cow and they were GREAT on the phone. I explained that I needed my entire house packed up and moved on a precise day. They said that was no problem and they would take special care given the fact that I was hospitalized. 2 days before the scheduled move, they call my wife and tell her that they have a scheduling problem and they are coming THAT DAY. She explains that she isn't ready for them and they tell here that if they can't come that day, the deal is off. It is too late to schedule anyone else, so we have to let them come and start packing. They arrive, and right when one of the packers comes through our door he yells, "Aw F* C& no!" which did not give my wife much confidence. She called the company to talk to them about this and was told once again, if you don't like it, call someone else. They threw everything in boxes with no regard for safety or fragile items. Most of my tools were stolen. So many things were broken, we almost couldn't count them all. Their breakage sheet allows for three items. We were told we could not create our own claim sheet beyond what theirs allowed for. We ended up losing $18,000 worth of our stuff to theft and breakage and were told that's too bad. They did not put any boxes in the rooms they were labeled for. 80% just got stuck in the garage. My wife was left to move them into the house by herself. I cannot warn you enough DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are terrible and they realize that they are in control if you absolutely have to move on a certain day. They completely took advantage of us and stole so many of our valuables. STAY AWAY!!!"

Whether you are buying your first place, downsizing, or just making another stop along your journey, Little Guys Movers will get you there. For two decades, we have been providing fast, friendly and affordable service to take the stress out of moving day. When you work with us, you can count on meticulous, careful handling of your possessions in professional moving vans, and accurate customized price quotes - with no surprises.

"My family and I hired Little Guys Movers for a move from Fort Collins to Windsor at the end of May 2021. We got 4 bids total for the move and picked Little Guys because they seemed professional, kind and that they would take care of our personal items. I also liked how they bid in that it was by item moved, not by number of rooms or some other loose bid that you have no idea where they got their price from. They called to confirm the appointment, called 20 minutes prior to showing up and were very quick and courteous. The reason for the low rating was that when I went into the garage to check on their progress, I noticed the antique dresser we had in there was severely damaged. When I approached one of the movers and asked what happened, he said they hadn’t touched the dresser yet. When I went to show my wife, which the dresser was from her side of the family, she was furious and approached the mover again and got him to confess that they did in fact try to move the dresser and dropped it. Since it was damaged beyond anything we would want to repair, and Little Guys charges per item, we decided to donate the dresser to our neighbor’s son. Once we got moved in, we reached out to Little Guys and asked to file a claim for the item. After about a week, a gentleman called me and said they would like to try and have the dresser fixed. I told him we donated it to our neighbor and that we would be willing to negotiate a settlement with them. I called back several times, leaving a message each time asking them to accept our offer. Finally another guy, JD I believe, called me and tried to argue that the dresser was damaged prior to the movers trying to load it onto the truck. We went back and forth and finally he asked why did we donate it if it was so important to my wife and her family? I told him it was beyond repair and would never be the same and didn’t want to pay $50+ to move it to the new house. So, he also said if anything they would have liked to try and repair it first. I finally gave in, said ok, I’ll call our neighbor and let them know you will be by to pick it up to repair and bring it to the new house when done. He then refused to do that saying he didn’t believe his guys were the ones that damaged it. He then offered to split the cost of repairing it and I refused. The call ended with him refusing to take the blame for the damage and yelling at me. Once I got off the phone and spoke to my wife about the call, she said she actually had photos of the dresser from a few weeks prior because she was looking into cost to restore it. In the pictures it shows the dresser completely intact with no damage. I sent an email to Little Guys with those pictures attached as proof and never got a response. My wife then called them 5 times leaving messages each time and never got a response. It looks like we will be going to small claims court to resolve this."

Plumbing problems are never convenient and can be quite costly and stressful. The last thing you need is for a company to give you the run around. When you contact Benjamin Franklin Plumbing®, we will promptly send one of our qualified, professional and friendly plumbers to your home to take care of your problem as quickly as possible. Each of our plumbers must undergo months and even years of rigorous training before they are sent on an installation or repair job on their own. Whether you are looking to maintain or repair your plumbing system or install a new toilet, faucet or hot water heater, our services have been created to fit your needs. We look forward to working with you!

"This company sent out a tech to our home. He took a look at the water heater and saw the pilot light was out. He did not do any troubleshooting whatsoever, only proceeded to say we needed a new water heater. He gave us a quote which included many warranties we did not want so we declined the quote and only paid for the service call. I asked the tech if he could at least light the pilot for us he said he could not for safety reasons. We had another company install which did not do any troubleshooting either. Turns out the gas meter outside was clogged and that is why our old heater was not working. They should have did some troubleshooting but did not do so to make an obscene amount of money. We were screwed by both companies. Our utility company changed out the gas meter and started our new water heater. Companies need to do troubleshooting and actually care about people and not just about making a quick buck."

Free Range Movers is the freshest full-service moving company in Boulder, CO. Providing Grade-A moving services is our #1 priority. "Best movers I've ever had. Careful, super professional and at the same time they understood how crazed I was with this move. Sam runs a great and efficient operation. Such great guys...ended up having a good time on moving day, if you can believe it. Absolutely give them the highest possible recommendation."

"The first two moves in 2019 were great. I had no complaints. The movers and Sam were fantastic. But what a difference a year makes. Getting a hold of Sam to get on the schedule involved several calls and finally some begging to get a call back. And then there were the moves: The first move was from the storage unit to my house. It seemed to go OK until i got a call from the storage facility that a bed had been left in the elevator. The situation was handled fine and someone retrieved it and delivered it to the house. The first issue was missing wheels for a dresser. i noticed this quickly and called the guy in charge that day. He was rather flippant and said they were in the drawer. "Guess someone forgot to attach them". Ok not a huge deal but i live alone and will have to get someone to help me attach them. An annoyance, especially his attitude. Then there was the broken leg off a table. Clearly the person who put the table in the garage knew that it was broken as the leg was laying over the table. So i called Sam to report it and offered to come take a look and repair it if he could. We agree he would call me and arrange to a time to come. After about 4-5 days and no call, i called him and left a message. Two months later i have still not received a call. Since then i have found other things: large scratches on two antique pieces of furniture and a missing power source for my stationary bike. Two large rugs were not taped and thus have been extremely hard to move out of the garage which is full of stuff. i have not opened every box but i won't be surprised if there is broken stuff. Heavy boxes were placed on lighter ones that have collapsed. Boxes marked "fragile" and "do not stack" are under other boxes. If you do decide to use them, i have the following advice: Monitor the move....make sure they wrap your furniture in blankets or plastic, make them aware of boxes marked fragile and tell them how/where you want it placed. Every problem i had was totally preventable...if they hadn't been so lazy and careless and packed things properly, none of this would happened. I also felt pressure to tip and in hindsight, i am sorry i did, especially the last move. They were not worth the extra money"

I cancelled the service because I had donated 25% of my house to charity and there were less items to move. However, they did not return my deposit of $2429.90 because they said that I did not cancel in time. They have pulled the bait and switch routine on others (B&B complaints). I would not advise anyone to use them for your moving services !!"

Piano Moving questions, answered by experts

Tipping movers isn’t mandatory, and most professional companies won’t expect it, but it is a nice way to say “thank you” and to show your appreciation for the care they took while handling your belongings. Tipping somewhere between 10% and 20% of your total bill to split among the movers is a good amount. Tipping is an especially good idea if your movers are working in the rain, snow, or excessive temperatures, if they relocate specialty items, like pianos, or simply if they go above and beyond during the process of moving.

There are different types of moving companies, and you’ll want to look for one that has experience moving houses. Ask them how many houses they’ve moved, how long they’ve been in business, whether they coordinate all of the labor, permits, and subcontractors needed, and what their liability is for any damages incurred.

To make sure that your moving quote is fair, check current prices for hiring movers in your area. Your starting and final locations can affect the price. You should also make sure you include the cost of any specialty movers in your price estimate. Calculate your moving costs including the estimated expense of moving services and compare the figure to average costs in your area.

The best way to save money when hiring a moving company is to pack and protect your belongings yourself, which includes wrapping delicate items in bubble wrap, putting belongings into organized boxes, and taping the boxes closed. You can then leave the more dangerous and physically demanding work—like loading and unloading the boxes and moving furniture—to the professionals. You can also save money by scheduling services in advance and moving during the off-season, which is usually the winter.

To find a reputable furniture shipper, it's a good idea to reach out to your social circle to see if anyone has a recommendation, but if you need more information, search for “long-distance” or “international” furniture movers. From there, you’ll want to read online reviews, understand the types of services they provide, and determine if they can meet your budget.
