"Cook Remodeling converted my carport to a garage and they did a wonderful job. They made sure everything was perfect and I ended up with a beautiful addition to my home. I worked with Jeff Cook and from our initial meeting, to his estimate, and all the way through construction I felt that he was listening to what I wanted while also sharing his expertise. Everyone that worked at my house, both Cook Remodeling employees and their subcontractors, were professional and treated me with respect. They always were considerate of my needs and they cleaned up at the end of every day. I would definitely work with Cook Remodeling again."

"They put up wood panels onto a wall, had to work around and extend a dual light switch. They had to get a bit creative so the panels ended at same spot on both sides of the wall. Project turned out great. Genuinely nice people to work with."

"Highly Recommend!! Raul and his team were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Communication was easy, and responses came quickly. Raul listened to what I was looking for mapped out the best plan to achieve my goals, brought in and managed all needed subs, and executed a high quality result in reasonable time and at fair price. Raul takes pride in his work and is respectful of my home, my time and my money. In the Phoenix/Tempe area, these guys are a diamond among the rough!"

This bathroom showcases a stunning blend of luxurious and modern design elements. The focal point is a sophisticated walk-in shower with bold, marble-patterned tiles on the walls, complemented by a pebble-style mosaic tile floor. The shower is enclosed with frameless glass, providing a seamless and open feel. Built-in niches offer functional storage, while a corner bench adds convenience. "I couldn't be more pleased with Alberto's work! I originally contracted with him for labor only, assuming I would buy the materials, but I wasn't sure what was needed. So Alberto accompanied me to purchase the necessary materials, answering any questions I had. He completed the entire project in less than a week, whereas the only other contractor who bothered to show up and give me a quote estimated four weeks, at higher cost."

"We hired Modern Remodel to install French doors to enclose our loft area. Cooper was responsive and very knowledgeable of what would work best. Cooper and his team did excellent and quality work timely. Modern remodel was competitive in price. We will definitely hire Cooper and Modern Remodel for any future remodel needs."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

The process involves initial consultation, concept development, detailed planning, regulatory approvals, and integration of contractor work for project execution.

The longest part of building a custom home is the design phase. It takes multiple professionals and a ton of work to bring your vision for your dream home to life while sticking to a homebuilding budget and also ensuring everything is built to code. Expect the design phase for a custom home build to take six months to a year.

Universal design costs can be minimal when you add them during construction; however, adding universal design principles to existing homes can sometimes increase renovation costs. For example, a mid-grade bathroom remodel is estimated to cost around $30,000, while a standard universal design remodel can cost closer to $40,000. Adding accessible design components can include widening hallways ($500 to $2,000), curbless showers ($2,000 to $8,000), and widening doors ($400 to $800). Keep in mind that these increased costs can lead to higher resale values because universal homes may appeal to a wider variety of buyers.

Stone, marble, and brick are common building materials of Neoclassical architecture, though you will also find wood flooring and a range of natural stone tiles. Since several home styles fall under Neoclassical architects' umbrella, a range of building materials—including traditional wood framing—will make an appearance.

Yes, many providers offer design consultations to help optimize and maximize space, functionality, and usage. It is recommended to confirm the availability of this service with your specific installer or contractor.
