"Darwin came out to give us a quote several months ago.  Due to some framing issues, we just now needed insulation.  When Darwin first visited my husband and I, we were both very comfortable with his level of knowledge and his honesty.  We had some other quotes, but we felt Marshall Insulation would do the best job.  Foam insulation is something you do NOT want to trust to just anyone.  You need people who know what they are doing.  Marshall Insulation knows what they are doing!
They came out when they were supposed to show up and sprayed the house for about 1.5 days.  Darwin came out after they were done spraying with his heat gun to make sure all of the foam was thick enough.  He had the spray rig come back out the next day to hit a couple spots that were not up to Marshall's standards.  I discovered one other little spot in a closet that was a little thin, and Darwin sent someone right out to fix it.
Our house is now extremely well insulated and soundproof.  We could not be more pleased with the work that Darwin and his team did.  Thank you Marshall Insulation!

".The work was good but took 2 days to complete due to the availability of his assistants.  The process is extremely messy however and suggest you cover everything when the job is being completed.  He was very courteous and through.  Make sure to mention if you are a senior as he gives a discount.  This is a young company and privately owned so Shawn is eager to make you happy.  My house is approximately 1480 sq ft and the other quote I received was for $500.00. That was only for the blown in insulation and  not all the AC duct work repair."

"We've been using Valley Heating and Cooling for three years in two different houses.  We wouldn't dream of using anyone else.  We bought a three year contract which enables us to have our air conditioner checked every year.  If it needs replaced, we will receive a discount on the new unit  and a refund on the balance of our contract.  We have been thrilled with the service person.  He gives us wonderful tips to conserve energy and does a thorough job of servicing our air conditioner unit.

"Brad told me what to expect before he installed radiant barrier on the south and west walls of our shop, he also installed radiant barrier and foam insulation to the roof on our south building. The results dramatically exceeded my expectations. Prior to the radiant barrier we started work at 5am and stopped between noon to 1pm because of heat, after the upgrades one cooler was able to keep the shop at 72 degrees well into July. We increased our productivity, increased the number of hours worked, and did so in comfort. The transformation has been impressive, our building has gone from the least comfortable work environment I have worked in over the past couple decades, into the most comfortable with the radiant barrier and insulation installed."

"I hired Gary from EcoSystems in order to increase my attic insulation from R38 to R49 and I wasn't disappointed. He used all the SRP rebates available in order to reduce the price for me. I contacted a few more companies and Gary was the cheapest by $300-$600 so I hired him. He came promptly at the time set and after a few questions he started the work. After an hour or so the attic was recovered of cellulose. I took a quick look and it looked fantastic. The crew cleaned up after themselves and the entire experience was painless. I would recommend Gary if you are in the Phoenix area. Also he told me that if I had talked to my neighbors and someone else would have had their insulation done the same day, price would have been lower so I'm passing this information along."

"People from Ace Air Company were fantastic. They were very thorough. They were very professional. They even wrote down things for me to remember so that I can make them do those checks in their next maintenance service. I really liked their commercial, that's what made me chose them in the first place. What stuck with me from the commercial was that they will haggle with the insurance company if something had to go wrong in the future. They look out for their customers. They did a fantastic job installing the unit. They had to go up into our roof and had to work in a very small hall space. They had to redo our existing ducting for which we paid a little extra. When they looked at our old ducting, they explained to us why it won't work for us. They told us that the old ducting was the reason why we were paying such huge electricity bills during the summer. We needed to have a bigger vent for the unit so they had to redo the vent system to make it big enough to accommodate the functioning of our new air-conditioning unit. They did a great job. We needed to get insulation done on the duct so we called them back. They told me that the people who came out realized it in the first place and had already done the insulation. There was a delay for him to get back to me on this because they were sending an inspector over to check the work they had done. That was really nice, because they could have squeezed more money out of me for this reason but they didn't. They saved us $400 for us there, I really felt great about that. We were very thankful. Overall, we got a good deal. I would use them again in the future. They will be coming out once a year for the maintenance service."

"Roberto was the technician and he was very professional, polite, and personable. He inspected the rest of our system and told us things that needed to be changed or repaired. He showed me pictures of everything. Everything he told me about was accurate. He quoted me a price for R38 insulation , Some of our ducts were plastic and he recommended them to be changed. I agreed completely and didn't know they were plastic. I would have had them done the work but I had no price comparisons to make and besides I didn't have the money right then. So he just finished the vent cleaning and left his card. He did a great job on the vent cleaning and was happy with the work."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

For Mesa families, plan insulation service during cooler months to avoid extreme attic heat and reduce disruption. Choose low-VOC, pest-resistant, and fire-resistant insulation materials to protect indoor air quality. Work with contractors who use dust barriers and ensure proper ventilation. Keep children and pets away from work areas, and seal off entry points to prevent pests from entering during the project.

Helpful?

In Mesa, adding insulation can impact your HVAC system by improving efficiency and possibly revealing the need for recalibration. Ductwork may require adjustments, and attic upgrades might mean updating recessed lighting for fire safety. Enhanced insulation can change airflow and humidity, so monitor comfort and air quality. An energy audit or professional assessment can help ensure all home systems remain balanced after improvements.

Helpful?

As a new Mesa homeowner, start by upgrading attic insulation to at least R-38 to combat desert heat. Next, focus on air sealing around windows, doors, and electrical openings to improve energy savings. Inspect and insulate ductwork in unconditioned spaces, and check wall insulation in sun-exposed rooms. If you use your garage or basement often, consider adding insulation there for better year-round comfort.

Helpful?

In Mesa, it’s a good idea to schedule insulation service if you notice uneven temperatures between rooms, persistent hot spots—especially on west-facing walls—or rising energy bills during summer. Homes built before 1980 or with block construction often lack a proper thermal barrier. After monsoon season or before listing your home, upgrading insulation can improve comfort, energy savings, and overall home efficiency.

Helpful?

Your Mesa home is likely a strong candidate for insulation service if it was built before 1990, has single-story or block construction, or features attic insulation below R-38. Homes with older HVAC systems, high summer energy bills, or west-facing windows benefit most. If you notice drafts, inconsistent temperatures, or living spaces above garages, insulation upgrades can significantly enhance home comfort and efficiency.
