"Larry and (I believe) his son came to my home to pick up my lawn mower and snow blower THE DAY I CALLED and returned them in less than a week! That's astounding! I called all over and, in late fall, the turn around is closer to a month! Not with Integrity! I was surprised at the look of my machines. I didn't even recognize them. They cleaned them up too! Great service and great...well, integrity. Thank you, guys!"

"Terrible company. Possibly a scam. They attempted to sell me a part they didn't even have, and after waiting patiently for OVER A MONTH, I canceled my order. When calling them to confirm, they told me they never had the part to sell to me. What a joke!"

8 EMPLOYEES. $37-75 TRAVEL CHARGE DEPENDING ON DISTANCE. $57 HOURLY RATE. REPAIR SERVICES FOR JOHN DEERE EQUIPMENT ONLY.

"On Wednesday May 19th, 2021, my personal tractor that I owned broke down and needed major repairs. I was looking at a potential of 6 weeks of downtime. After the weekend, I contacted Proven Power (Oconomowoc) regarding a used John Deere 3039R tractor that had been sitting on their lot for several months…which I intended to purchase. I needed a 2nd tractor. I stopped at the dealer on Tuesday May 25th to inspect the tractor…and found 3 issues that needed correcting. Upon writing these corrections into the “terms of sale”, I made the purchase of the tractor by putting down $3500 and was offered John Deere financing to cover the rest of the cost (tractor was over $20K). The three issues were: 1. The FEL joystick was almost falling off…it was very sloppy and in need of dire replacement/repair. 2. The wiring harness for the rear lights on the ROPS had been pulled out of the rollbar and was left hanging off of the back of the tractor. 3. The shrouding in front of your feet (when you are sitting on the tractor) was broken and falling off. Over the course of the next couple days, I had called the salesperson on several occasions to find out if the tractor had been brought into the service bay and if the parts had been ordered to make the repairs along with any potential updates on delivery. What I wasn’t understanding was: why weren’t these obvious issues corrected before the tractor was put on the lot so it could be sold? When I looked at the tractor, it had been on the lot for several months, so it’s not like these issues could have previously gone unnoticed by any potential buyer who looked at this tractor, including the dealership staff. I originally wanted the tractor delivered by Memorial Day weekend, but my salesperson forwarded me an email from his manager (on Thursday May 27th) stating that the parts wouldn’t be arriving until Tuesday or Wednesday after Memorial Day. The dealer offered me the option to take the tractor home (because I really needed a tractor!) and make the repairs later. However, with the condition of the FEL joystick (which I would be using heavily), it wouldn’t be safe to operate and shouldn’t leave the dealership until the repair was made. Safety first! I declined. Of course I was disappointed, but I knew where I stood on the timing. I didn’t call the dealer anymore for any status updates until the following week on Tuesday (late afternoon) when the parts may have potentially arrived so that I could arrange to have a day off of work (later in the week to be home for a potential delivery) if the parts had arrived and they planned the repairs for Wednesday. According to the service department technician, some of the parts had arrived, but there were more parts that had not arrived yet. Just to point out…both the dealer and myself were at the mercy of John Deere and UPS. This was not the dealers fault that the parts were in “shipping” status. However, after finding out those details, the service technician proceeded to begin lecturing me and telling me that I should not be calling the dealership anymore. He was very rude and condescending. I explained that I was only trying to get a delivery ETA (E stands for “estimated”) so that I could arrange to have a potential day off with my employer (for delivery at my home). The technician continued to lecture me and told me that I would be contacted when they were ready to deliver and I shouldn’t be speaking with anyone at the dealer until I get that phone call, and he told me not to call the dealership again. That evening I sent a letter to the location manager stating how I had been treated by this technician. I received an email response/text message from the location manager stating that the dealership was cancelling the sale with me. Wait? What? What did I do wrong? I didn’t insult anyone. I didn’t swear or argue with anyone. I didn’t call anyone a bad name. I wasn’t even asking for a discount or financial compensation. The manger told me that since I was unhappy with the service timing and I was unhappy with the negative treatment by his personnel, he made a managerial decision that he didn’t want to do business with me. I told him that this is his opportunity to “right” a “wrong” and turn a bad situation into a good situation with a happy outcome. The manager declined at that opportunity and re-stated that he didn’t want to do business with me. The manager refunded the $3500…AFTER HE DID A MAJOR PING ON MY CREDIT REPORT… 2 months ago I refinanced my house, so now any potential financial institution that I use to purchase a tractor will now see 2 major pings on my credit which now becomes “negative” on a credit report. FYI….it takes 2 years to clear these major pings off of a credit report. I do not recommend this dealer to anyone who reads this review. Please re-read the chain of events, and then put yourself in my shoes. You will be next. Buyer beware."

Lawn Tool Repair questions, answered by experts

Replacing a lawn mower pull cord yourself should only cost you the supplies, which comes to around $25. For more complex repairs, you’ll need to get a quote from a local lawn mower repair shop.

Whether to repair or replace your lawn mower depends on what is wrong with it and how long you have owned it. If your lawn mower is relatively new, ensuring you regularly service it will help keep it in good shape. There are issues that will cost hundreds of dollars to repair, such as the engine blowing or the lawn mower going over rocks. Many people go by the three-year rule and replace their lawn mower rather than do repairs after this time.

The cord you pull to start a lawn mower is commonly called the “starter cord” or “pull cord.” This uses and internal combustion process to start the lawn mower engine and it prone to wear and tear over time. You’ll want to check the starter cord as part of your regular lawn mower tune-up process.

Regular oil changes, blade sharpening, fuel system cleaning, and air filter replacements help extend mower lifespan.

In many cases, it might be cheaper to repair your lawn mower than to replace it, depending on what needs to be repaired. The cost to replace a lawn mower dramatically varies, from $60 for basic models to over $15,000 for the top-of-the line models.

Small repairs like a spark plug replacement can be as little as $20, so replacing the whole lawn mower wouldn’t make much sense. However, repairing a crankshaft could be much more expensive at $500 to $900, so depending on the age of your mower, it might be best to replace it. It’s best to speak with your lawn mower repair technician to determine which option is best for you.
