Here at Weed Man our mission statement is "Promises Kept." This statement trickles through our organization in all we do. Our promises is to apply only the best products agronomically and environmentally for you lawn. Our staff makes sure to leave quality notes, blow off the driveways and sidewalks of any product, and pick up any toys around the property. We have even been known to take your garbage cans back up near the home. We have branches in the Madison area, Milwaukee area, Green Bay area and the Rockford area. Weed Man employs about 25-30 people during our main season. We do not sub contract any of our work. All of our fully trained staff is certified in the appropriate fields to treat your lawn. To be fair to all of our customers we do our service pricing based on the square footage of the turf on your property. Give us a call at 866-987-9333 and join the thousands of happy customers at Weed Man! Weed Man is recommended over our competitors by landscapers and golf course superintendents. Remember at Weed Man, a Promise is Kept.

"Please read this carefully before this happens to you! The week of February 20th a Weed Man representative personally visited my home. He identified himself and asked if I would like a quote for my lawn service. I told him I had a service for the last 2 years and I would consider if they could be price competitive. I gave him my email address, he walked around my property and left. On February 22 I received a quote via email labeled Weed Man “Promises Kept”. I was satisfied with the quote, so I called my current lawn services and told them I no longer needed their service. I signed up with Weed Man and paid in full for the yearly service of 6 applications. On 4-13-23 they performed my first service, and everything went well. Later that day I received a phone call from a Weed Man representative. My first thought was they wanted to thank me for my business but that was far from the truth. She told me they could not service my property unless I paid them more money. As I stated earlier, I had already paid for the full year. There is only one word that can describe that business practice…Extortion. I told her I had paid for the year and expected them to honor their contract with me. She told me she needed to speak to upper management and would call me back. That call never came and the following week I attempted to log onto the Weed Man website to view my account. It gave me a message that my account was not active. I called the phone number listed on my quote and was told my account was cancelled 2 days prior. I asked to be called back by someone in management. 2 days later I did receive a call and was told it was being recorded. I was clear I was not happy with their extortion practices to get me to pay more than my written paid quote. She told me they could not service my lawn for the quoted price. She cancelled my service and told me my full amount would be refunded. I asked them again to honor their paid contract and if they wanted more money they could ask for that next year and let me decide if I wanted to keep their service at a higher price but they refused. It has now been 2 weeks and my account is still cancelled and no money has been refunded."

"Original call went well. The gentleman was professional and nice - it was easy to schedule the original appt which was for a 2 hr window. A guy came out and he was fine. You don’t really know for awhile if an exterminator is effective. Two weeks after the original treatment, we started seeing ants in our master bathroom, which is BIZARRE as we’ve never seen an ant upstairs in six years at this house. In six years with a different exterminator, we had issues with ants once and it was quickly dealt with - and they were in the dining room. We found the appearance of ants (a lot of them) two weeks after our first treatment from rose and in our upstairs bathroom to be really strange. Whatever - not a big deal if they take care of the problem relatively quickly. Called to get a guy out and they gave me a specific time (9am) - it struck me as strange because I had been given a window of time the last time, and I probably should’ve confirmed whether it was a specific time or a window of time but I didn’t. When nobody showed up by 9:20, I had somewhere to be so I left - when I called rose to inquire, I was told that I had been given a window. Nope - wrong. Not a huge deal but just own it! The guy for whatever reason didn’t specify 9-11 - not a huge deal! I should’ve double checked on that too! But here I have a woman on the phone telling me that I’m wrong about what I was told on the phone just three days before. Totally unsympathetic to the issue (both the scheduling issue and the fact that ants miraculously appeared for the first time EVER upstairs at our house two weeks after we switched to her company. ZERO understanding. A simple “wow, that’s strange, we’ll have to get this taken care of - probably a coincidence but let’s work together to get a guy out as quickly as possible to get rid of the ANT INFESTATION in the place where you bathe and brush your teeth each day. Whatever. One of the more obnoxious phone calls I’ve ever experienced. Now nobody can come out for five more days - in the end, if they come out in the assigned window and get the job done and I have no more ants, I guess it’s fine. Can’t expect a pest control company to have master communicators on the other end of the phone. Stay tuned for an update on whether or not they take care of the ant problem that never existed until I switched to them."

"Connor from Building Waters in Racine, WI came to my home to add new light switches and install my coach light on the exterior of my home, he was very pleasant, fast, and was even kind enough to change out an old light bulb in my foyer light fixture. The service that he gave today was above and beyond! We were very, very pleased with the work that Connor did in our home. 100 Stars!"

The "WHAT'S BUGGING YOU?" series is designed to bring you, in concentrated chapter form, the information you need to understand the pest that's bugging you. If we work hand-in-hand, pest control can become pest elimination...and that's our goal. The exclusive Spectrum Quick Courses will provide you with biological facts, nesting habits, and even reasons why potentially inviting aspects of your household roll out the red carpet to "uninvited guests!" One of most important things about being a QualityPro company is our commitment to provide environmentally responsible pest management. This means using integrated pest management, or IPM, to solve your pest problem. An IPM approach is focused on the removal of the three key elements pests need to survive: food, water, and shelter. By concentrating on eliminating the sources of these elements, your home or business becomes a less desirable destination for pests, and greatly reduces the likelihood of an infestation. More importantly, IPM aims to correct the root cause of the pest problem, providing you with a longer-term solution to your pest problem in the least intrusive manner possible.

Animal Removal questions, answered by experts

Removal typically takes 30 minutes to 1 hour per item, depending on accessibility and size.

No, ground bees are not detrimental to the health of your lawn. In fact, the small holes created by ground bees can actually offer beneficial aeration which moisturizes and nourishes the ground. Additionally, ground bees are highly regarded as vital pollinators, meaning they help plants to reproduce. Unless you’re battling a severe infestation, leaving ground bees undisturbed can boost the health of your yard and the environment.

Whereas a honeybee can only sting you once, a yellow jacket can sting you multiple times because they don’t leave stingers in the skin. In the unfortunate case that you get stung by a yellow jacket, it’s important to react calmly and quickly. Immediately ice the affected area until the swelling subsides. You may also take an antihistamine if necessary. If you experience an allergic reaction to a yellow jacket sting or have been stung several times, seek medical care right away.

Yes, honey bees can sting, but they typically only do it when they feel their hive is threatened. When honey bees are away from their hive, they’re focused on foraging for pollen and nectar, making them unlikely to sting. Only female honey bees, called workers, have stingers, and they will die if they need to use them. Generally, if left undisturbed, honey bees will leave you alone.

DIY removal risks harming bees and you. Professionals offer safe and effective solutions protecting both parties.
