"Oasis is staffed by first-rate professionals. At every step of the process, from the initial assessment of the proposed project--the installation of a walk-in shower and a toilet more suitable to our needs--through the presentation of the finished product, the team was attentive to the important details, both big and small. The result of that level of expertise and care is reflected in every aspect of our new bathroom. We could not be more pleased."

"Jaman was professional, courteous and got things done quickly. He exceeded expectations! We had a toilet that needed a new seal. He assessed the situation, quoted and did the work. He went above and beyond to level things given our uneven concrete floor so that the problem won’t reoccur, all the while keeping us informed and explaining what was needed. Thank you and huge thumbs up!!"

"Our daughter flushed apple slices down the toilet and we explained the reason for the call we told they would come out today but there was a $289 service call to have them come out. Andrew was early, wore a mask and fixed the issue in literally 10 minutes. The issue I have is paying $289 for a service call plus $139 for them to snake the toilet. I had a $50 off coupon from previous work so my total was $403. I’m sorry but the hourly rate is insane for the work that was completed."

"The arriving technician was cordial in dealing with me. In this period of the pandemic, he observed health protocols diligently. However, he was not as knowledgeable as he should have been regarding the subject of toilets. Cutting to the short of it, after charging me the $230 for the service call of using the 6-foot toilet snake and not addressing the performance of the toilet, I found the problem inside the reservoir tank, which he had examined. He seemed more intent on selling me a new toilet installation than he did at providing a fix."

"This is my second experience with Washington Water Heaters, the first being to install a new water heater. I had a question about that heater and asked if they also did other types of residential plumbing, to which Jackie replied yes and quickly scheduled me for the work. Len and another plumber came out and finished the work quickly, answering my questions along the way, all in under an hour. The prices are a little higher than I would prefer, but the workmanship and professionalism are top-notch and negate any worry about quality or warranty. I'll be calling them to come out to replace a few more shut-off valves in the near future.
Note: Both plumbers were friendly with my curious and friendly dog and were careful to remove their shoes, unprompted, in the entry before going across carpet each time they came inside. These details are very important to me.

"Our remodel project started in July and ended in November. Vic does a very meticulous job on all phases of remodeling. We started with a complete remodel of the kitchen, transforming a dated, drab kitchen into a beautiful well lit gourmet kitchen with hardwood floors and granite countertops.

We moved from the kitchen to the Master Bath. Vic started with a tiny bathroom with a 3 x 3 shower, toilet, and single sink. The previous owner combined a washer and dryer in master bath leaving little room for anything else. There was an extra bedroom we didn't need, so we had Vic take walls out and ended up with a huge, beautiful Master Suite you would expect to find in a multi million dollar house. Originally, there was no walkin closet, only 2 small closets with sliding doors. Vic removed the small closets and now we have a large walkin closet.

Next he moved to our fireplace which was hideously ugly. It had brick facing which had been painted white (yuk!) with a huge hearth that took a huge chunk out of the living room. We now have a beautiful in wall fireplace all set in granite. Vic worked in other areas of the house removing walls, adding windows, to open up rooms and improve natural lighting."

Toilets questions, answered by experts

Yes, a bathroom remodel is a worthwhile home improvement project that typically adds value to your home, offering a return on investment (ROI) between 60% and 70%. Potential buyers look closely at bathrooms and kitchens, as these are often the most expensive rooms to renovate. A modern, updated bathroom is more appealing and assures buyers that the plumbing, fixtures, and flooring have a long, useful life ahead. Beyond the financial return, a remodel can also greatly increase your day-to-day satisfaction by creating a more inviting, spa-like space. Even a basic refresh with new paint and accessories can make a significant difference.

One of the many benefits of a pressure-assist toilet is how long it lasts. You can expect a well-maintained one to last up to 30 years. That's five years longer than a standard gravity-fed toilet, so it can be a worthwhile investment if you’re willing to spend more on your toilet installation.

You generally cannot replace a 10-inch rough-in toilet with a 12-inch model without making significant plumbing updates. A 12-inch rough-in toilet will not fit a 10-inch rough-in space because the floor drain is in the wrong position. To accommodate the larger toilet, you would need to move the drainpipe, which could cost between $0.75 and $30 per linear foot, plus labor. In most cases, it is more cost-effective and simpler to purchase a new 10-inch rough-in toilet. However, it is possible to install a 10-inch rough-in toilet in a 12-inch space by using a longer connector.

Yes, a toilet, sink, and shower can share the same vent. This is a common installation method that can simplify plumbing and save space. However, there are important considerations. The vent and associated plumbing must be large enough to handle the demands of all fixtures without compromising the vent's effectiveness. Additionally, the toilet should always be located downstream of all other fixtures. Because requirements can vary and space might be limited, it is essential to check your local building and plumbing codes and consult with a qualified plumber to ensure the installation is done correctly.

Small bathroom renovation costs don’t have to break the bank. A $5,000 budget is realistic, provided you're not adding luxurious fittings or making complex layout changes. Changing the layout is the most costly aspect of renovating a bathroom. So if you keep the layout, do some of the job DIY (within your skillset), and use relatively affordable fixtures and accessories, you should be able to stay within your budget.
