Steve is a great guy who has an eye for what looks good (design-wise especially) & good taste. He is great at his job & strives to always do a good job & leaves with his customers happy with what he did for them. I highly recommend calling him for his services if you have any construction projects you would like to get done. He is pretty busy so make sure you call in advance!

Kitchen - Remodel

Last November we hired Steve and his crew from Steveâ s Home services to do a complete remodel of our main living areas of our home. This included the bathroom, 2nd bathroom, kitchen, family and living room. They installed new wood floors in a lot of areas, tile floor in bathroom, tile inlay in entry, and a pony wall by front entry. Two main walls were removed between the family and living areas. A full kitchen tear out and everything new was installed including the cabinets. They are a wonderful personable group of hard working contractors to work with. Their work is top quality! We had them in our home for about 5 weeks. We didnâ t have to move out because they cleaned up everyday and protected our furniture with coverings. We will hire them again for phase 2 to remodel our master bathroom.

I got bids and contract to do a few things around my home and yard. He seemed like an honest guy. He ended up doing one thin coat of stain on my patio and you could see the old color showing thru. He admitted it said on the can better to do multi thin coats instead of one thick one and that it needed another coat without even coming back to look at it. The kicker is he wanted to gouge me another $140.00 to get another $30.00 can of stain and roll it on. He said he was giving me a deal half price. The contract said clean concrete and lay down stain. Material and labor included in the bid. I said I was not going to pay more then the original bid. Anyone would know one gallon can wouldn't be enough for the size of my patio. If he under bid then it is on him. Anyway he chose not to come and finish the job and has harassed me on my cell phone all day long calling me names and trying to play mind games on me saying he has gone above and beyond for me. I had to threaten him that I would get a restraining order against him if he didn't stop harassing me while I am at kidney dialysis. I have paid him above and beyond for all the other work he did and half down on this job as well per contract and he would get the rest when job is done to satisfaction. Now the newest is he is going to put a lien on my house for the remainder. I have pictures and everything to state my case. Outside faucet he replaced and to do it he had to do something under my kitchen sink. I found out yesterday there has been a leak in the outer wall for 2 months since he did the job. It was not wet under the sink where I keep my garbage can so I didn't notice until yesturday the water started coming out under the cabinet and flooding my kitchen. A friend got under there and took out the can and stuff under there and there is black mold everywhere and the drywall is soaked and just mush. I have to get a plumber out and who knows how much this is going to cost me. I can't have Steve come out because he didn't finish a previous job and he is threatening to lien my home. I will get pictures and plumber to document this situation. There is a pin hole on the piece of pipe he added 2 months ago. He doesn't stand behind his work and I can't trust him now to fix this mess he is responsible for. I don't want him in my home. I got a bid and signed a contract with Steve. After he did the job he kept adding more money saying it wasn't part of the contract bid to put the rocks back where they were before he did the job. He didn't build the bridge to my standards, but it was good pressure treated wood. He is technical on the wordage in the contract you would think after taking the rock out to find the issue it would include putting the rock back to cover the liner. He said no it is not written in the contract and was forced to pay him more.. Be careful he is unprofessional and unethical.

Drywall - Install
$9,000
They installed the appliances (washer and dryer) correctly, we haven't had any issues so far. As at least another client noted, their work is inconsistent. They used the wrong tape, failed to use bead, over sanded, and we've had to hire someone to fix the sub-standard job. Sure they guarantee their work, but what does that mean exactly? When they don't use the right materials or follow the industry standards. They claim to be able to do sheetrocking and mudding, but I did not feel they were competent to do. I would watch out for this company. It seems by the quality if work that they did not use a level or a square in fact, I wonder if they even used a tape measure. The cabinets were not square, and the door that was supposed to be widened, was not square as well. They used the worst quality wood, according to the new contractor I hired who's repairing things as best he can. They may be great at repairing gutters and building chicken coops, but they are absolutely in the dark when it comes to drywall. Find someone who specializes in the trade rather this company which claims they can do just about anything.

Inconsistent quality, we will need to repaint ceilings and walls in a few areas. Looks like inferior brushes used for edge painting in some of the rooms. Felt they move on and didn't finish the job to our satisfaction.
Response from Steve's Home Services, LLC
"Homeowners were extreme in the quality and cut lines being perfect we redid them multiple times well with in industry standards far superior to the paint job before us. These precision painting requests did not surface till after we started. After they interrupted the process mid stream and had us redoing cut lines and coverage complaints we moved forward after they approved our work at that point. We added multiple coats of paint and they complained constantly about the amount of paint we were using and they were not charged for additional labor for micro managing us and painting additional coats over and over when not necessary. In the end I even let them go through with blue tape and a punch list scenario and we took care of all their tape marking along with multiple extras that were requested, it's hard to please everyone and it seemed these two were impossible. And refusal to pay in the end was ridiculous client finally paid and really should have hired a professional painting crew and not a general contractor if their needs were going to be above and beyond industry standards. But obviously they didn't want to pay for that."

Hands down.....the best handyman/contractor I've ever used. EVERY aspect of home services he does with absolute professionalism and expertise. Have had him do total home repair and the results are spectacular....reasonable rates and no job is too large or incapable of doing. If you've a honey-do list that's going nowhere or a project that seems too large to tackle, you simply cannot go wrong with Steve. 360-653-6530

I went onto this site looking for a quick, inexpensive fence to keep my chickens in my yard. Called a company and we made an appt for an estimate, they no showed and didn't call. So, I decided to called Ryan Andrews. He asked for photos to be emailed, and he'd send me an estimate. Anyway, I called Steve, he said he was out to November to build anything. I said I knew what I wanted but I'd go elsewhere. He insisted on coming out that night, which was a Friday, and showed up at 630, rush hour on a holiday weekend. He showed up Saturday morning with his team and completed the fence within half the day. Total time from the time I called was 1 day. Steve was on it. His team was amazing. You won't be let down with these guys at all.

Steve and his crew are very dedicated and attentive. We hired them to help with a bathroom and kitchen remodel, and do several odd and ends jobs around our home. They are a pleasure to have in our home. They work hard and pay attention to detail. When mishaps occur, they are quick to correct. They strive to please and meet deadlines. Thank you Steve for a great experience. We hope you will be our go to guy for whatever home services we need.

Would have received a higher rating but rep was an hour late, although I think it was through no fault of his own.

Steve and one of his guys, Jordan, came out on New Year's Eve day and installed our new hearth and mantle for our fireplace. They did a beautiful job! They also fixed some kitchen cabinets and checked our gutters. They were professional, and fun, and they did a great job! They even cleaned up after themselves! We will definitely call Steve again for our general contractor/handyman needs.
