"Our house was damaged by a slow water leak. Hardwood floors and drywall in our kitchen, dining room, and living room had to be removed as well as lower cabinets in the kitchen. Damaged insulation required replacement under floors and in exterior walls. Signature Restoration (owner: Andrew Lomakin) was the most professional and easiest contractor to work with of several I interviewed for repair bids. They installed, sanded, and finished new hardwood floors. They removed, replaced, textured, and painted drywall. They installed all new kitchen cabinets and restored plumbing, and appliances. They put in a new handrail and balusters between the kitchen and family room. Although not damaged by the water, we asked Signature Restoration to install a new skylight and new ceiling light fixtures in our kitchen. Their work was highest quality and quickly done. Andrew always kept us up to date on work progress and completion schedules, and his employees were very reliable and easy to work with. I always appreciated Andrew's total honesty and willingness to discuss any issue with me whenever I had questions. I will call Signature Restoration if my house needs major repair or if I decide to remodel it in the future. "The workers were nice. I was desperate the leak fixed so I paid more than I would ordinarily (my husband recently died and I had enough problems without a leaking chimney). The workers agreed to send me photos of the repair, both by computer and copies pf the photos by mail. for some reason I can only get some of the copies on the computer. it says they can not be downloaded so--I have called at least 5 times requesting the copies to be sent by mail. The man is nice but it has been several weeks and no photos! help!!"

"Mad Hatter took care of the chimney over the course of a few very wet and partially frozen weeks in December 2009. They worked outdoors when the weather let up but had to leave the chimney covered with a tarp most of that time. They didn't need to access the interior of the house until the chimney was crowned, capped, sealed, washed, and tuckpointed. I only needed to be home during the sweeping operation, which involved removal of two whole industrial wet/dry vac-loads of old soot, moss, and ash. Throughout the entire operation, Mad Hatter's staff were punctual, helpful, courteous, and flexible."

"Marlo was a real find. We had a serious leak on one of our single family family rental residences dating back to November. Initially, we had a so-called leak specialist for a $350 minimum fee who totally mis-diagnosed the location of the leak and blamed it on on a "debris dam" in one of the valleys. He said cleaning the roof would solve the problem. He didn't even enter the attic crawl space or put up a tarp. Turns out his "professional assessment" was on the wrong side of the roof. We cleaned the roof and and repaired the drywall. The roof began leaking again and the repaired drywall had to be repaired again; this time the damage was much larger. I called Marlo and he came out to the house the same day I called. He discovered the source of the leak and repaired it the next day. He had a sub do the drywall repair. Marlo provided extensive photo documentation of what was wrong and how he would repair it. They drywall repair was excellent; it was impossible to tell there was any damage. They treated for mold as well. What impressed me most was Marlo provided me a 10 year warranty to cover the roof repair AND any ensuing drywall repair. Marlo is very personable and energetic. He also did a minor skylight repair gratis. A real headache that had been plaguing me for months (unhappy tenants) was resolved in matter of days.
