Quick to respond and they were having a great special on chimney inspection and sweep. The inspector, Tal, was very knowledgeable and informed me of what could be done and what a reasonable timeframe would be. I did not feel pressured into making any decisions, which I appreciated.

Work was scheduled for the next morning. Tech arrived well within the appointment window and provided quick, professional service, and explained things as he went along.

My pilot light was going out regularly on my gas fireplace, and I noticed that this company had a $150 service special, so I hired them for maintenance. The technician came out (with no tools or cleaning supplies, which should have been a red flag) and declared that my fireplace was a Honeywell system, which is defunct and there are no longer replacement parts for it, so I would need to buy a $1500 conversion kit to basically replace everything. He would not even clean it. I thought this sounded suspicious, so I hired another company to come out and service my fireplace for $250. They cleaned the unit (which they said it definitely needed) and got it working like new... they even repainted the interior as the current paint was chipping away. Very glad I did that instead of getting swindled out of $1500 by United Home Services. Stay away from this company if you do not want to be ripped off!

While the technician was friendly and easy to schedule with, our concerns were not addressed and are now much worse. Our gas fireplace had black soot build up over the last year and we were hoping to understand the cause and get it fixed. The technician cleaned the soot and adjusted some things. After the appointment, the black soot immediately built up again and is now significantly worse. We now have a black stain up our wall which we never had before. I have messaged and called and cannot get anyone to answer or return my call. Don?t waste your money!

I hired united home services to sweep my chimney. After this was done, the guy pointed to some glittery stuff in the ashes and declared this was highly dangerous and I should urgently have my chimney coated with some chemicals that would cost $2,700. In other words he tried to install fear and upsell me quite dramatically.
